Default White House Greeting

Here is a link worth bookmarking if you are interesting in getting a greeting from the White House congratulating the birth of your child. I did this for DS and DD and put them in their scrapbook. I though it was a pretty neat keepsake. Just go to the greeting guideline link and bookmark it so you can remember where to go to fill in the information once your baby has arrived.

Dh did that with Griffin. We thought it was a nice keepsake for his scrapbook as well! We didnt know about it with Katie.
I will have to remind him to do it this time too!
Thanks!

See, these are the types of things I don't know what to do about with 2 kids. I didn't know about this w/my first dd, but I think it is a really cool idea. But if I do it for this baby, am I going to hear for the rest of my life about how "she got a letter from the President, and I didn't!!?" What to do, what to do?

I never knew about that. Thanks, I'll have to check it out. But if DS gets one, DD may be jealous!

That'd be a neat keepsake! I had no idea that they did that! Thanks for sharing! Since this is my first, I won't have to worry about not having done one for a previous kiddo.....I'll just have to remember to get one if/when we have another baby!

Thanks so much for posting this. This would be really cool for baby to have. I actually knew about it before, but never got around to doing it. Do you know where to click on after I click on the link that directs me to About.com? If not, I am sure I'll be able to find it. Thanks!

I've done this for each of my kids. I'm so crazy about keeping up with such stuff, voter's registration etc.

Anyways, I put them in their baby books and it is a neat little keepsake. Years from now, they'll remember what president was in office when they were born. It's a bit of history.

You can go to the whitehouse.gov website then click on contact or go to this link.. I went to view source to get it.. https://app1.whitehouse.gov/greetings/baby
