Re: When do you move up a diaper size?

We never go by weight...it's such a major guess. If the diaper leaks you need to move up a size, or if they are too snug like PP said. Otherwise there is no point because it's cheaper to keep them in the smaller size as long as possible. Different brands make a difference, too. Luvs are built for square butts, Huggies and Pampers more rounded, and store brands have their own differences too. Sometimes if you're having a problem with leaks it's more due to the shape the diaper is made for than the size they are, so play a little bit when they are tiny since that stays pretty stable throughout life - once you find a brand that works well for you, try to stick with it.
