Default Tonight on abcnews/ re BPA bottles.

Walmart is deciding to remove all BPA bottles off the shelves by the end of the year. I didnt realized but this BPA chemical is also in the can the formula is in.

look:

http://www.ewg.org/files/EWG_babyguide.pdf

He is also the abc article....

ABC News: AS SEEN ON TV: Wal-Mart, Nalgene Pull BPA Bottles from Shelves

I think I am just going to spend the extra money and get Born Free Bottles. It is hard to tell what is safe. They are saying even those liners you put in playtex isnt safe.

It is hard to tell what to do.

The same was officially announced by Health Canada the other day and there are numerous stores here that have already banned BPA products. It's scary when you see the list of things that have BPA in it...not just the baby bottles.

Oops, and I harassed my mom about being a BPA Nazi insisting on the glass Dr. Brown's bottles. Maybe she won't notice all this.

All these things we aren't supposed to do. I get that some are legitimate, but don't really understand the canned foods thing. As an infant I was fed molasses water and whiskey instead of baby food, and I'm fine except for the genetic disorder (actually the molasses water and whiskey probably saved my life). But all these things to be concerned about just overload my brain!

Lurking from DIAug - here's a good link to what is and isn't BPA free: Z Recommends: The Z Report on BPA In Children's Feeding Products, Third Edition You can also tell by the recycling numbers on the bottom of the container... Numbers 3, 6, and 7 are the ones to avoid, 1, 2 4 and 5 are okay.
