Icon10 Swimming

I finally went swimming yesterday and it was the BEST thing ever!!! First, I absolutely love swimming in general. I used to go all the time before we moved (when we lived in civilization). Now the only pool is small and at a college and kinda expensive, so not good for regular exercise. I really got the urge to go and after desperately trying to get my old swimsuit to fit (I have no idea what I was thinking) I decided to go to Wal-mart and buy a large cheap one (there is no place withing 1.5 hours that sells maternity anything). Isn't pretty but covered the necessities. Now I can't believe I havn't been swimming all along!! I didn't even feel pg and I could totally swim like normal!!

Of course when I told dh I was leaving at 4:30 he looked at me horrified and said "you know there's a blizzard warning at 7:00 right?" He is so cute, as if 7 was the witching hour and the blizzard was suddenly going to hit right then .

Swimming is the best. When we moved here my mom bought me a maternity swim suit, as we have a pool right outside our building. I dont go too often though, even though it is free and available, it is a bit cold in there. Not as noticeable with a big belly now though. lol Glad you enjoyed the weight free time. I love swimming for that feeling, and it is just so nice to float around comfortably.

I'm so jealous! I don't even know if there is an indoor pool around me, but the thought of swimming right now sounds soooooo good. Glad you got to go!

I've always wondered what it would be like to go swimming while pregnant. I'll have to make it to the kids gym place we take my ds in the next few weeks to try it...that is if I can get my bathing suit to go over my belly, lol.
Glad you had fun!!

I agree it feels so good esp. if your muscles (back, belly, whatever) are sore. It totally takes the weight off. I lived it the pool with dd #1 and ds. I so wish I could go right now. I'm so sore.

I went swimming all the time when I was pg with Joshua. I agree with the pp, it felt so good to be in the water...I loved feeling normal again!

I'm a big advocate for pregnancy swimming! I love just feeling weightless. It's started warming up drastically here so I'm hoping to get a few good swim days in. I was supposed to go to my Godmother's in Malibu tomorrow but instead I'm going to L.A. to see a play.
