Default So upset-failed my glucose test

Well, I just got a call that I failed my 1 hour glucose test. My score was 150 and the norm is apparently 130 which sounds like a HUGE difference to me. I fasted the whole night before so I am really, really worried. I can't even imagine fasting again, let alone waiting 3 hours in the lab waiting for the results. I am just so upset. I had the best first pregnancy ever, and now this time I have varicose veins, high sugar levels....I'm scared to see what's next. Has anyone else failed the one hour w/numbers like that and actually passed the 3-hour? I'm wondering if I should just skip the test and follow the diabetes diet. It might be easier. Off to cry now.

I was worried because my 1 hour number was 152, my doctor said that wasn't much but I didn't believe him because it sounds like a lot. I guess he was right because all of my numbers were well below the cut-off on the 3 hour. I didn't fast before the 1 hour but I avoided any sugar and ate barely anything. So I wouldn't worry too much yet, especially if you didn't have any problems with your last pg. A lot of people have been failing the 1 hour and your number is lower than mine was. Good luck and sorry you have to go through the 3 hour.

Im sorry! BIGHUG!!!
There are lots of people that fail the 1 hour and go on to pass the 3 hour.
I did that with my first baby. I failed the 1 hour but passed the 3 hour.
I really cant remember what my numbers were though, it was 4 years ago.
Just make sure you take something with you to do, like a book b/c its so boring! GL!!!

Here's hoping the 3 hr test brings good news!!! I would do the 3 hr based on what the other ladies said.
My doctor had me skip the 1hr and go right to the 3 hr..probably because a lot of women fail the 1 hr.

Thanks ladies. Your posts (along with a big hug from DH) made me feel much better. I talked to my nurse and she said like you girls did that the 1 hr is kind of unreliable. Uh, thanks, so I starved myself for nothing! Anyway, I take the 3-hour this Friday, so hopefully I will pass. Thanks again for your words of encouragement. They are very much appreciated!!

(((((Hugs)))) I have failed the one hour twice but passed the 3 hour both times. Make sure you take a good book or something to do because it does get long! Then of course I go and pig out afterwards haha
