I have noone to vent to so im going to vent her. We sold our house back in Dec 06. I was talking to my father today and he told me we got a letter from a lawyer saying that we are in foreclosure. How the heck can that be if we sold our house and the mortgage was paid in full? It really stinks because we have to wait until tomorrow late in the evening to find out what the heck is going on. Im trying not to stress about it but dang the word foreclosure scares me.

Make sure you have your paperwork stating that your account is PIF and be ready to fax it. DH had a car loan that we paid off in Feb '04 and THIS YEAR they FINALLY recognized it as PIF, after 4 different collection agencies tried to collect on it. We just kept sending the paperwork.

Ah man....sometimes these things happen. I hope that you guys get it figured out quickly and effortlessly. It may have just been an overlook on someone's part and they are able to catch it right away.

yeah i am sure it is just a paperwork error. But get all your stuff inorder from the sale of the house. After you sold the house you should have gotten a pay off letter from the bank. If you have that. I dont see how they can say your in forclosure.

Also, be sure it is corrected with the credit bureaus - this could REALLY haunt you later.
