So I had an ultrasound just to check how the baby was doing and to check how mature her lungs are. The ultrasound took 45 min and the tech left the room to make sure she had all the pictures she needed. 20 minutes later!!! The tech comes in and says the have all the pictures they need but she just got off the phone with my dr. and she wants me to go to triage ASAP because the baby wasn't moving much.
So I figure this will be a really quick trip considering she started moving a little bit while we were driving to the hospital. So we get to the check in and my dr. comes up behind me and rushes me into triage. She starts telling the nurses they need me hooked up to an NST ASAP. This starts to freak me out a little.
They get me hooked up, my blood pressure was high and baby had started moving by now. However my dr. wasn't thrilled with how the baby's heart rate was not moving up or down with movement. She then told me that when we were at the ultrasound that the baby scored a 4 out o 8. So this freaked me out a little. The triage nurse didn't seem concerned with what she saw on the NST. My dr. came back in and said "You're having a baby tonight!!"
WHAT?!!!?!?!?! My heart started racing! (and the baby's heart rate still didnt change) Apparently she didnt like what she saw.

So I am sitting in the delivery room waiting for things to get started. I have been here since 3:30pm and they won't start pitocin until 10pm because they don't have many people on staff and it's pretty busy. So I will keep you all updated but looks like a baby girl will be born tomorrow!! I will keep you posted or have my DH keep you all posted.
So it started out as a normal U/S and ended up being the DAY! I am so nervous and scared and excited to meet my baby girl.
