Slurp & Burp
I was at the Dr.'s office and was reading a parenting magazine and saw this company advertised on the back. I really like the concept! I've looked at the Hooter Hiders, but it just seemed like you would draw even more attention to yourself and I didn't really care for how much the baby was covered. This provides the discretion, while you are still able to look at baby in the face.
Has anyone used them before? I think I'm going to order one, the price isn't too bad. I like that you can still wear your regular clothes with it, especially with summer coming up.

Re: Slurp & Burp
I'm thinking 'inconvenient'...?? Maybe its just me. I always just grabbed the baby's blanket and threw it over us...even leaving his/her face UNCOVERED so they don't get too hot but no one else can see...but i can still look down at him/her.

Re: Slurp & Burp
Cute idea and name! I think I would like a little more coverage because I have a larger chest. I think they would work great during summer months likes you said!

And see I could pretty much head the Itty Bitty Titty Committee. I haven't gotten that bigger pregnant, so I'm not expecting too much of a difference later. It wouldn't be hard for me to cover them even without this, I just liked the added security without having to hide baby.
I just watched the instructional video and that was really helpful figuring it out. I'm definately sold on it!
Brandi-They do offer them in different sizes, which could be helpful as far as coverage goes.

Re: Slurp & Burp
That is very cool. I didn't understand how it worked until I watched the video, then it made a lot of sense. I had always nursed by lifting my shirts up, instead of down, but that looks very discreet and easy to handle. Thanks for sharing.
BTW, I could be on your committee too Carley!

Re: Slurp & Burp
I just went back and watched the video - never saw it the first time- and ahhh I get it! It is actually pretty neat--selling me on a few factors: -that you can wear a DRESS and bf!!! I love some of my cute summer dresses and hate that I can't wear them b/c I bf!!! And I like that you don't show your belly!!!
hmmmm maybe I'll try it!

Thanks for sharing that link! I was just going to order it from the website, but I'm all for free shipping.
If you watch the movie it definately helps to make it clear. I wasn't quite getting the whole being covered, but still feeding baby thing. All makes sense now! I also like that you can wear dresses with it, we have quite a few dressy events coming up this summer (my little sister graduates, my older sister is getting married, etc) so I'll be doing quite a bit of breastfeeding in public in a dress.

Re: Slurp & Burp
Ok, so now I'm torn. I watched the video and I do think its a great idea! I wasn't sure how it worked either just from the picture. Buuuut, I don't think I want to spend $36 on one either. Seems like a lot for such a small amount of fabric. Maybe I'll see how bf'ing works out for us this time and see if its something I'll actually use.

The way I saw it was that I wouldn't be having to spend money on lots of different nursing wear. I would still be able to wear my original clothes, but have some added protection.
I don't know if you sew, but it seems like it would be pretty easy to duplicate. Less expensive as well.

Re: Slurp & Burp
I've been e-mailing Missy, the founder behind Slurp & Burp, because I wanted to see examples of each of the fabrics. She just gave me a bit of information for all you mama's who are hesitant about the price. MomFinds.com will be reviewing Slurp & Burp in about a week she said. When they review the product they will be offering a 30% off discount code!!! I know I'll be checking that website like crazy for the next week!
