Icon5 Slings

I just found out that Target now carries Hotslings. I'm debating getting one this time. For $40, it might be worth trying out!

My question is, how do I measure my hip to shoulder length with this big 'ol belly? Anyone measure for one before the baby's born??

HMMMM.....what about measuring an pre-pg pair of jeans or pants that fit well? It might give you the number you need. Good luck

I was wondering the same thing!!! I really like the look of Hotslings and I've read such great reviews. I'm just so confused on how to order one. The one I have my eye on is on sale right now too, so I wouldn't be able to return it if it's wrong.

The chart on the hotslings website isn't very helpful either. It starts to look like I'd be a size 3, but then I qualify for many of the size 2's.

I want one too...but I think I am going to wait until the baby is here and just make a trip to Target. That way I can try it on with the baby in it to see if I really like the feel of a sling

So I did a bit of googling on how to measure while you are pregnant and every site I hit said to measure your back instead of your belly. Also when I purchased my sling when kensley was born I got a 4 and it ended up being too big. I sent it back without any hassles.

Here are some links

Here is hotslings return policy if you are interested
Exchanges
Since sizing is so important, we have a very easy exchange system. Your sling comes packaged with an exchange form with instructions. Exchanges must be in NEW condition with all original packaging. The exchange must be received by Hotslings within 30 days of the original ship date (or within two weeks of your delivery date if you are pregnant). Please contact customerservice@hotslings.com to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number and simply mail in the sling with the form on the back of your packing list filled out and we will send you a new size/fabric as soon as we receive your exchange. RA numbers are void after 45 days.

Returns
Please consider an exchange for sizing concerns before you give up and return the sling altogether. Most people are extremely happy with one size up or down if they are not happy with their original size. No returns will be accepted on sale items; exchanges only.

Returned slings must be in NEW condition with all original packaging. Returns must be received by Hotslings within 20 days of the original ship date. A $5 restocking fee will be charged upon the return of each item. Original shipping will not be refunded. Please contact customerservice@hotslings.com to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number and then mail in the sling with the form on the back of your packing list filled out. Your return will be processed as quickly as possible. RA numbers are void after 45 days.

I've been looking at them at Target too. I think I'm going to just order it from their website though because I'm not too keen on the patterns at the store. I'm not sure about the sizing though. I did read on TheBabyWearer.com that the bottom of the sling should fall at your belly button.

I want one too, maybe measure someone who's about your size? That's a toughie. My Dr's office had a book with EVERYTHING target carries for babies, online and in the store. I was looking through it while I was in the hospital. They have tons of stuff I wanna check out!

I LOVED my Peanut Shell sling and paid $70 for it. Yikes but I got my money out of it and now I'll resell it on ebay b/c its a boy pattern.

I saw HOTSLING at Target...I wasn't fond of their patterns at all. Don't they measure more by your shoulders not really your belly?? I bought my peanut shell when 9mths pg and it fit me perfectly...b/c it wasn't something that went as low as my belly. Did that make sense ... ?
