Default Okay! Now I am jazzed!

I have made decisions about my OB. I am having a consult with the OB office in Livingston (which is 31 miles away). The office has been awesome. Plus I have talked to a couple of people and they had wonderful birth exeriences with not only this OB office but with the hospital.

So I called the hospital to find out about a hospital tour. The L&D nurse is like, well we don't really have official tours. Just pick a day and call us when you are coming down and if its not crazy (meaning they don't have two women in labor) we would be happy to show you around.

I also asked about whether they had an LC on staff she said, two of the nurses are LC certified.

I am feeling much better about this. Hubby and I got into a fight yesterday because I have been stressing so bad. Not to mention Braxton Hicks is driving me insane right now from the stress. I brought up MW again and he flipped. I guess I can understand since I have had two CS already and there is some risk (they don't use an OB backup in Montana and they can't deliver at a hospital). So if I did rupture I would have to be transferred. That could prove disastarous with trying to get an ambulance to me and then back to a hospital.

I am still going to push for a VBAC, but right now my main concern is finding an OB and hospital I am comfortable with and making sure the baby is with me at all times. With this hospital being so small and laid back I don't think that would be a problem. Heck, they probably don't even have a nursery! Its only 25 beds total. OB probably is like 2!

Okay, I am feeling much better. Thank you for hearing me B*tch and moan about this.

That's great, Anne! I was going to suggest Livingston. I've been lurking on the mothering forum and seeing what a hard time you are having. I'm pretty sure they allow vbacs in Livingston. I've heard nothing but good things about their little hospital.

Let us know how the tour goes!

I'm happy to hear that you have come to a decision about what you want to do (or are coming to a decision if you haven't settled already...) It's so important to be comfortable with the place that you are going to deliver and to be comfortable with the people who are around you. It sounds like things are going to fall into place for you now with this situation and maybe now you can relax a little and keep some of those darn BH away! I hope that you have smooth sailing with your VBAC attempt!

Yay! Sounds like a lot of progress. Keep us posted when you meet the Dr. & visit the hospital.

I was going to ask you for your suggestions. This has been such a PIA. You know I left the Appointment lady a VM about 1pm on Monday to see if I needed to come in and sign medical release forms (because I tore up the original ones). She has NEVER called me back! This is the fourth thing with that office that is inexcusable. Not to mention the body language of the lady at the front desk when I went in there last week. She leaned back away from me and had this look on her face of "I don't give a crap. WTH do you want and why are you bothering me?"

So I may or might not get a VBAC in Livingston, but I definately wouldn't get one here in Bozeman. We will see if I am a candidate for it. At this point I don't care. I just want a good Doctor and hospital.

Hubby is totally against a Midwife. In a way he is right. They can't deliver at the hospital and if my uterus did rupture, that wouldn't be a good outcome having to transport me by ambulance to the hospital. If I hadn't had any CS then he might be more receiptive.

Anne, I hope you find someone/place you are comfortable with! Like you've said, that is the most important thing.

Glad you found a place you are comfortable with! I can't imagine having to go to an OB that I didn't trust and wouldn't listen to my concerns!!
