Gotta love my silly little girl. I hadn't felt her move all day and I had my NST scheduled, so when I got there I told them how she hadn't been moving and how worried I was. Basically as soon as they strapped me up, she started moving a whole bunch. She continued to move a bunch during the whole thing. So all in all my NST went very well. The nurse said I was having pretty regular contractions, but I wasn't feeling them. So now I'm home.
I'm starting to get nervous though. When I was waiting to be put in a room, I heard a woman screaming non-stop. It gave me shivers...still does even now! I turned to my sister and was like, "Oh gosh, what have I gotten myself into?!" I'm really hoping for a natural birth...but we'll see how that goes!
Little stinker! Aspen did that to me a couple times. Wouldn't move at all until they started the NST.
Hopefully those contractions start getting stronger soon! We are all anxious to meet Tatum!
Oh I am so with you on the getting nervous part! I have had 3 natural births and love the adrenaline rush and the feeling...but right now I am thinking "OMG Emersyn has to come out tomorrow!" Hope Tatum decides to come soon!

I would have been worried if I had heard someone screaming too BUT truly if you just go with the flow and listen to your body you will do GREAT!!!! If you want the help its here and do not feel bad for asking for it. I was hoping not too but now that its all over I am so happy I did as it truly helped me get through and I did not scream once LOL....I was so proud!!!

that's really good news that she was active for the NST! and you can do a natural birth. A lot of it is mind over matter. But it's also not the end of the world if you do opt for a pain killer or an epidural. Start out with what you think you want to do, and you can always change your mind! I plan on doing a 100% natural birth (minus the induction that is). I wanted to do 100% natural with my daughter as well. but I ended up asking for a pain killer. Then later in the day, I asked for an epidural, but stopped them from ordering it and demanded to be 'checked', as they had not checked me since they broke my water. And guess what? I was ready to push! No wonder I was in so much pain.

Hmmm.. Brooke got really quiet the day before my water broke!! Don't worry about the screaming..every labour is different. I was hoping to go natural..but unfortunately - my contractions came on too strong (they didn't realize how fast I was progressing) and I opted for the epi - when they checked me after they were shocked that I was at 9cms and said I did it mostly on my own...(Gee thanks!) - I forgot I had a button to push - and the epi still let me feel the delivery...and the stiches (even though they freeze you too...) -
You can do it... especially because you are young. I can't wait to read Tatum's birth story. I can't believe how fast everything has come.... it seems like yesterday we were picking the name for the DIM board!!

yeah parker did that too me
but they put those straps on so tight... it wakes them up. lol
ah all these brave woman over here! I am all for the epi! lol But you know you will follow yourself threw it... you may not need it... but it is good to know it is there if you need it
I am glad to hear the NST went well. I was upset about getting a c-section until I spent a few days listening to women screaming . Of course I was there a few days and they were not..so...I am sure it will all turn out great.
I'm so glad Tatum looked great, but that is funny that she was playing tricks on you. Little stinker!
And scary about the screaming thing, but I really think when you are in labor yourself, you don't even realize what you are saying or doing. You'll just focus on getting the job done. I know it will go great for you whatever you decide to do. Good luck and lots and lots of ELV's going out to you!!!
Glad Tatum perked up during the NST. Seeing her active had to help put your mind at ease. Glad she was just being stinky:-) Also as far as the natural birth, good luck to you. I'm sure you will do just fine!!!
I'm so glad the nst went well. I bet you were so nervous while she was having quiet time!
I hear you about listening to someone else in labor - it can be so scary, but truly, you will do fine. Just focus on your wonderful baby & you can get through it all.
LOL! I screamed really loudly with both of mine too, but that was during the pushing part and it was more of an energy release than out of it being painful because the pushing part feels so much better than contractions do (and the contractions aren't that bad). Going natural is an amazing feeling, and honestly, I can't imagine screaming through a contraction--that seems really weird to me!?! It feels so much more natural to relax and breathe deeply than to get all crazy... Maybe she was pushing? Either way birth is awesome, I really hope I get to experience it all again someday real soon (hint hint baby)...
I'm glad your NST went well, that's great I want to say n ot to worry about the screaming. I had an epidural very late (dilated to 8 both times) with both DD and Julian, and held up against the pain pretty well. Then during pushing I had the epidural and didn't feel the need to scream at all. I'm sure you will do just fine! (Even if you are screaming, you're allowed to)
