My Baby Shower :)

Aw, yesterday was my baby shower...it was a long day and there was quite a crowd but it was lots of fun! In the past even with an original long guest list there isn't a huge turn out, ya know? But this time it just worked out that many of the invitees could make it. I felt sort of bad because my bf worked on several games to play and because there were so many people it just didn't work out well to play them all...we played one action type game after many people had left and that actually worked out kinda nice that way I think. Instead of a regular cake we had pink cupcakes...and it was neat to have a girly-pink party this time after having everything being boyish for so long!

Now I have a whole new mound of clothes to wash and put away...people sure do love to buy little girl baby clothes!

She got like 35 outfits and little onesies! She also got a bouncy seat, some bath stuff- towels, a robe, washcloths and soaps, a few pairs of socks and shoes, mittens, hats, a mobile, a few blankets, a couple gift cards, a pack of bottles and diapers and wipes. Luckily everyone bought size 1 and 2 in diapers- I have a couple NB packs already so now we have a variety.

The biggest surprise came when I opened the gift from my DH's aunt and cousin...they got us the

Sweet Peace swing

! I put it on the reg. so that I could get the after the shower discount on it

and buy it myself- I never figured anyone would want to but it ahead of time! But I'm so excited to have it and so thankful that his aunt loved it enough when she saw it to get it!

After DH's Grandma gifted us our travel system a couple of weeks ago I felt ready for her for the 1st time...Now after yesterday I really feel set. There are a few odds and ends that I am still going to pick up but I am pretty sure that this little one is all set from birth til fall at least!

I have the Sweet Peace swing too! I can't wait to see how you like it! We haven't even gotten around to setting ours up.

Sounds like you got lots of great things. Have fun washing all those clothes! It took me about 9 loads to get through all the stuff I recieved from my showers....and it still keeps coming!

That's great so many people showed up to yours. I felt bad because I invited a bunch of people to my first shower, thinking most wouldn't want to come since it was about an hour drive from where we live, but just about everyone showed up. My Godmother was a bit stressed about how many people came. But it worked out fine. Sounds like yours did too. I'm glad you had a good time!
