It must be run into stupid people today. First off someone who I told a million times when im due asks when are you having that baby. I say 7-8 weeks her response was omg I thought you were due any day now. I say gee thanks for making a pregnant woman feel good.

Then I have Isaac and Titus with me and some complete stranger ask me what I am having. I said a sweet little boy. Her response was I feel so bad for you 3 boys it must be hard. I say well actually I will have 4 boys and her response was if I ever get preg again and they tell me im having a boy im going to get rid of it. I was speechless that a complete stranger would say something so stupid to me.

Yeah, sometimes people are just mindless and stupid! It's like they have no filter from their brain to their mouth- if they have a brain at all! I just don't get what it is about a pg woman that makes people throw all sense out the door while talking to us. You would think that people would take into account our increased sensitivity and hormones and for that reason alone be nicer to us! But nope...that would just make too much sense.

To commiserate with you a little bit: When I was pg with DS#2 the checker at the grocery store asked me if it was my 1st, I said "no, we have a little boy." And then she asked if we knew what we were having and I said, "Yes, it's a boy." and to that she replied, "I'm sorry! Are you sad?" WTF? I just asked her why on Earth I would be SAD and she didn't respond. What a freak!

FWIW, I think that you responded beautifully when asked about the sex...and it was probably better that you were speechless at her comments. People like that don't ever even seem to think that they are saying anything wrong to start off with so any reply would have fallen on deaf ears anyways!

Yikes! That's horrible! It's like people get a brain freeze and then say the first thing that comes to mind, whether it be appropriate or not.
I had something similar happen around Christmastime...not to do with being pg but when my son was crying while we were waiting in a long line at a dollar store for not getting what he wants, an older man came up to me and told me to stop smacking my son(in a joking tone)...ugh...some people! Sometimes they're better off not saying anything at all or just stop after asking what you're having, even though they may be thinking something else.

When I worked while pregnant with my first every single day the same person would ask me when I was due. It got SO old!!! I started to try to avoid that person whenever I could.
