Default Movement???

I know this has been brought up before, but I just cant shake this horrible feeling I have. I still dont feel this little one move around. I mean there has been times I thought I felt a flutter but wasnt for sure. I will drink some caffeine, eat something sweet, lay on my back, on my side, and poke at my belly and even talk to her non stop trying to get some kind of movement. I had my u/s last week Tues. I was 17 weeks 2 days. The baby was fine and wasnt very active, but was still moving around. Then a couple days ago the nurse from my ob's office called and said I had my u/s a little early and they couldnt get very good pictures of the heart. So I have to get another u/s done in a couple weeks. Well I already have to go get a u/s done at the Peris office so I knew it might have been a little early for the u/s, but it also has me scared. I go in to see my ob tomorrow and I am just praying we have a heartbeat. I will be 18 weeks 3 days tomorrow. This is also my sixth child so I thought for sure I would feel her and know what it felt like. Is there anyone else that hasnt felt the baby moving around or any little kicks? I am totally stressing myself out over this. Thankfully I only have 8 more hours until my appt.

I truly hope your appointment puts your mind at rest!!! I am sure everything is going along just perfect in there.

I COMPLEATLY understand your feelings. I though I was the only one not feeling anything still. I am almost 21 weeks and still nothing but I know she is an active little bean as she was movin like crazy at my 3D u/s. I found out the my placenta is in front and she was kickin and jabbing that sooo I think it will be a bit longer for me as there seems to be lots of cushion in there for me. I am a bit sad but with how active she is maybe it’s a blessing in disguise.

I was also thinking that do to my endo and the 3 separate surgeries I have had for it that maybe there is some nerve damage in there. Plus I have a huge incision down my belly from just below between my breast to my belly button from my gastric by-pass and I am thinking maybe that has effect some of the nerves in there. I wish I knew cuz I agree it is very stressful not feeling anything.

I truly worry and think we all do no matter what everyone says until we get that confirmation that everything is ok. It just seems crazy to me that something so big (I know not yet but still big to not feel) I can not feel yet.

GOOD LUCK tomorrow....keep us posted. HUGS

I hope that you feel better after your appt... I think that it's really a case of every baby being different. The baby could be laying with it's back to your belly button and therefore all the kicks and punches would be toward your back...or since you said the baby was not super active on the u/s it could mean that you just have a super gentle little one in there. As stated above, the placenta placement also has a lot to do with it.

With my 2nd son he was so easy to feel both on the inside and on the outside- sometimes making my tummy really shake already- at about 15-16 wks and there was no mistaking that it was him throwing hard jabs. This time I figured I'd feel much of the same at about the same time...Not so much. I did feel flutters early but then I'd go some time with out feeling anything (and that made me worry!) and it's really been only in the last couple days that there have been the slightest little thumps felt from the outside- longer than it took with my others. I didn't figure it would take this long being that it's my 3rd!

Anyways, let us know how your appt goes...I'm sure that you will get to see your little one moving happily and freely in there just as content as can be!

Sorry you are worrying. I'm sure the apt will put you mind at ease. Be sure to ask as many questions as you need to to feel comfortable!

I'm sure everything will be just fine, it just takes awhile for some to feel the babt move around. I know with my son I didn't feel him move until much later on in the pregnancy, maybe 22 weeks or so, and with this little one I've been feeling her for a few weeks now, so every pregnancy is different.

I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and RARELY feel anything with this one. I thought I would feel a lot more with this one being my second.

Try to think the worse or you'll just stress yourself out...(((HUGS)))

I'm sure everything is fine! It's so hard not to worry. And with this being your sixth I can certainly understand why you would worry so much. You are a pro at this by now!
I was the same way before my u/s. I had felts some flutters early on and then nothing for a few weeks. I was SO worried something was going to be wrong. But it turns out she was faced toward my spine, so that's why I wasn't feeling much. I've started feeling her a bit more lately, so that helps.
Hugs to you!!
