A little reminder...

On saturday my parents, my DH and I went to the store to get the carseat for the baby. They were all out of the one we wanted and said they had to order it and it could take up to 8 weeks. That is only like 4 weeks before the baby is due! The lady said most people come in last minute and if they are out of the one they wanted they dont have time to order it, and have to settle for something else. So if any of you need to get your carseat make sure it is in stock or have them order it for you. Other things you might not need right away but definetly need a carseat to take the baby home! Reality is really starting to set in now just how close it is getting for us to meet our little ones!

oh I can relate! When I was pg with DD, my parents and sister bought our carseat and stroller for us but had to order it. It was due to arrive on November 9th(2.5 weeks before my EDD) and I distinctly remember my mom asking if it would make it in time. Maybe it was me being naive, but I said, oh yeah, I'm not due until the end of November...but what do you know!? Hannah decides to come on November 7th!!! It worked out though...we borrowed my sister's carseat to bring her home...not sure what we would've done if we didn't have it! So, I totally agree with you! A carseat is not something you want to leave to last minute...especially if it's back ordered!

Good to think about! Definitely don't want to be stuck without a carseat...you are right- you HAVE TO have it to come home!

Thanks for the reminder! I definately need to get on it. The only thing that's hard is my mom is buying me the travel system. I keep trying to casually mention it, especially since BRU was having a sale all last week, but of course she's totally not catching on.

dang--that means I better get on it! Looks like I'll be visiting BRU this week! Anyone try online stores? I have a couple of websites that I'm hoping will work out if the stores don't have what I want...

For an online option, I know that strollerdepot.com has car seats and will let you know right on the site what is in stock. My stroller came in about 1 week. Just a suggestion if timings getting tight!
