Re: A little about me
First off, thanks for getting to know me! Well, I've been induced (hate to say it) for convenience sake always at 38 weeks. The first time I was induced my spouse was working in another state and I kept traveling back and forth with him and I was getting scared that I might not deliver with my own doctor and in another state. The second time I was induced I moved to another state but still wanted to use my same OB who was only a good hour and a half away, but I found it worth it. So I induced to let him deliver me. The third time I was in the most severe back pain I could ever imagine for weeks and weeks. I was on pain meds and I was so sick and tired of the misery. This time my doc has penciled in an induction for the 12th just because now it seems with all these babies that I have to have a predictable enough schedule to make sure the chitlins are taken care of ahead of time and I'm not dumping them on a neighbor! My hubby's mom is 74 and my mom has health issues, so that left us with the only option of hiring quality childcare to come over and spend the night and help out while I labor and deliver. The last birth, which was last year, I hired a doula to come and watch our babies and it worked out great. But really, I just feel like kicking everybody out when I get home and just relaxing with family. Which is why I let the doula just go as soon as I came home. I am fortunate in that I have a full time nanny who works from 7 to 5 weekdays, and she has agreed to stay as long as I am in the hospital. I have a part time nanny on the weekends whose hours vary as I need her and she will also be on call in case I can't reach my full time gal. So, fortunately, I have it covered, but just have to have it scheduled so everyone is definitely in town, available, etc. I'm counting the days to my induction! I'm very excited. My doc uses a pitocin drip and I will opt for an epidural at around 3 to 4 centimeters. You would not believe this but last year my stupid anesthesiologist had to redo my epi 3 times! I mean, he actually had to do the whole process over and over 3 times because one side of me wasn't numb. Geez, how many times do you have to make me jump??? It was terrible! Anyway, feels like I'm rambling now but I'm just excited to share my blessing with everyone!
