For those who are past the 36 week mark, are you getting an internal with your weekly visit? I could have sworn I did every week with DD... but I'm not this time around. They didn't even offer last week?? Even though I hate internals normally & even more so now that the baby's dropped & I'm just all around uncomfortable down there, I'd really like to know if there's any progress!! lol

my dr didnt intend on it...i got my first check at 36 weeks then this last one only cause i said i was leaking. im not sure he will do another for 38 weeks. i think he will since he was talking about induction at 39 weeks if i havent delivered?....but in my previous i do believe i got checked every week till delivery.....

Yes, this week was the first one (well I did have one several weeks ago when I was having contractions). I think its silly since I am having a CS on the 12th but they want to make sure.

I had my first one last week at 37 weeks and have my 38 week appt today so I'll let you know if he checks or not!

My doc checked at almost 37 weeks just because she was doing the strep b swab. She didn't check last week, said she wouldn't check again until after 39 weeks which is 2moro. I have an appointment in an hr so I don't know if ill be checked or not cos I'm not technically 39 weeks yet. Ill let ya kno!

i am not. But I have placenta pervia.... so i wont have any...although i have that swab test...but they told me that isnt an internal really.

I get one next appt, on the 28th, when they do my swab. She will then do it every week til I deliver.

So far, none for me. I don't really mind. I'd like to know if there's progress, but then again, you could be at 3cm or more for a while or be at 1cm and go into labour the next day....it isn't a good estimation on when you'd be delivering. I think he did say he'd check next week at 39 weeks....

I got them starting at 36 weeks with both DS and DD until I delivered. My Doc plans on doing the same thing this time around. I will get checked next week and then weekly until I deliver.

They told me they start them at 37 weeks. Though for me I was 36 1/2 weeks b/c of how my appointment fell.
