Did they tell you to eat or not to eat anything before you were induced?

Last time I was induced with my daughter they told me to make sure I ate something before getting to the hospital. I did and was really glad I did! I ate breakfast around 5am and then didn't get to eat that night until like 7pm. I was so drained from the day and from labor that I couldn't imagine what I would have felt like had I not eaten in the AM.

this time around they are telling me not to eat OR drink anything, not even water, past midnight. I'm thinking of just ignoring them and eating something with protein in the AM anyway.

I am being induced on Monday and my dr hasn't said anything. I do plan on eating something though. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am

I am going in on Sunday and my dr told me to have a light breakfast....but I'm not going to eat anything cause I don't want to throw up. We will have dinner the night before and that's it.

oh I should mention that I never felt nauseous and I didn't' throw up when I had my daughter. so i'm fairly confident that I'd be OK if I did eat.. and why I am thinking of ignoring my docs orders.

I'm wondering if the girl who does the scheduling got confused that I'm not having a c-section or having an epidural.. and told me the wrong information. I think I'll call the office in the morning and ask about it..
