Icon11 Impromptu Doc Apt....

Yesterday I had to go to the doctor’s office to have my BP checked as I have been feeling so completely out of it and extremely dizzy all the time. My doctor was not in but they got me into see someone else in the office. He was nice but not my doc KWIM.

He said there is not a lot we can do about it other then to rest and be extremely careful when I am up walking around as fainting would not be a good thing......no really??? LOL

But the other major concern is Mackenzie has been very NON-active so with the combo I was worried. So on this coming Tuesday I get to have a non-stress test just to make sure everything is ok. Her heart was good and strong sooo and my BP was not any lower so the doctor did not seem too concerned. But I am glad to be having this testing done. I am sure I am just over reacting but I know I will feel better just knowing for sure everything is ok.

On a good note: My iron has come up a bit So it looks like my food changes and supplements are helping....wooo hoooo no injections YET!!!!

Yay, glad your iron is up. That is wonderful news. On the other hand that is a bummer about the dizziness and feeling out of whack. Take it easy and be very careful! Glad you are going to get a stress on Tuesday. I'm sure it will put your mind at easy.

Glad that your iron is up! That's good news!
I'm sure everything will be fine with the NST. Aspen has been so quiet these past few days and I've been really worried about her lack of movement too. But when I was pregnant with my ds I went to the doctor around 35-36 wks and they could not get him to move either. They even shocked my belly with this electric prode thing, lol. Finally after several hours there, they did an u/s and he was just in there hanging out and being a little stinker. It's so hard not to worry!!

Yay! your iron is up. I'm sure you've had a NST before. I get one every week at least once, and It's sooo comforting to hear his little heart beating. This week, he barely passed the test (but he passed). They were trying to do the test when he was sleeping, he'd had a busy morning! Good luck with yours, hopefully it will make you feel better about the baby, since she's been not moving around so much! Maybe she's just chillin for a few days

Thanks ladies.....I am so happy about my iron. Its still considered LOW but its coming up and in the last month it has increased 1/2 way back to normal.....so every time it jumps the less risk I am in.....puts my mind at a bit more ease

I found out a couple weeks ago I was partially anemic, and my iron was a little low. I never had this problem before. I asked the ob what he thought and he just said to take some extra iron a couple times a week. I have no clue what he meant by that, and at that point in the office my 2 little ones were fighting and going crazy so I just wanted to get out of there. I go back on Wed. so I am going to ask him what he was talking about. Im glad yours is getting better, whatever you are doing, keep it up cuz its working. The stress test will help put your mind at ease. Just make sure you feel her every so often through out the day to. They do tend to slow down a little now and can be little stinkers.

Really good that your iron is up. The NST at the hospital helped put my mind at ease, so I hope yours does the same thing for you. It is normal for babies at this point to have really active days, adn then really quiet days. So long as you feel her bouncing around in there every so often, I would not worry too much. The dizziness thing... yeah, rest and drink lots of fluids. Fainting, it is so not a good thing.

Yay for high iron! That's exciting. I always stress about my iron levels and it's so reassuring to hear when they are good. I hope they continue to improve.

Can't wait to hear how your NST goes. I bet Mackenzie is just being a little booger and trying to worry everyone for no reason.

Glad all is well and your iron is up. I had a non stress test on Thursday It is cool. Weird though he didnt hook you up then and there. Usually if your worried about movement they do it right away. Funny though as soon as they hooked me up...he was moving WILDLY! lol I was noticing the belt and the patches move. So I then felt dumb! lol Milk helps with movement.

I'm glad your iron has gone up...sorry about the dizziness... I'm sure everything will go well with MacKenzie's non stress tests...it's funny - I get some periods where I'm worried about movement..and then ... the next day or so.. I either go for an ultrasound and see the movement on the screen or see/feel more movement... I think you are like me an have an anterior placenta... sometimes I see movement but don't feel it.... It must be because of the placenta cushioning things..

I'm so excited your iron is comming up. What are you doing other than the pills? I too have low iron, and the stupid pills are making me so sick. I need to get it rechecked soon, it might be back up by now. KUP on the NST.
