Just an update.

Took Ian to the doc today and they think it's Fifth disease but would need to confirm with a blood test. However, since I went yesterday for my blood draw, they're going to wait to see if mine comes back positive or negative. If it's neg., then they'll get Ian tested.

Basically if either of us tests positive, I'll need additional monitoring of my PG. So no real answers yet, but I should get my test results back Monday.

This is such a PITA and I hate having to wait all weekend for the results! I have my next OB appt on Wednesday tho, so I can discuss with my doctor more then.

gosh good luck... that is very annoying! Did anyone have it that he comes in contact with? Is he is day care or preschool? They should know if it comes back positive..... so the other parents can be alerted. How upseting.

WOW.....good luck!!! I hate waiting over the weekend for test results too!!!! KUP for sure!!!! What a pain!!!

He does go to daycare but no one there seems to also have it. He was around one of our friend's little boys, Zander, the weekend before the cold symptoms started and Zander was coughing a bit. But it's hard to say, we're out and about on weekend (play place at the mall, etc.) so it could have been picked up anywhere.

Good for Ian that he'll be immune tho.
