Default Gobble gobble *choke*

Poor Anastasja...today my milk is just a flowing. Three times now she has taken in too much at once and choked. It happened with my other kids too, but it still is a bit scary to see her gasping. Anyone else having fun with overflow?

Add me to the list. Poor Dylan threw up 2 times today from overflow and eating too much. I sure hope he gets the hang of things soon.

Yeah, still getting that some here.
I remember with my other son he got smart with it. When it would come down he would pull of and wait a minute to continue. Good for him but bad for me.. I would start squirting all over the place.. lol

Natalie has the same problem with bottles! I think because she has never been a "sucker" she likes to lie there and just swallow when her mouth fills. Oh, she CAN suck, she just doesn't care to. The binky in the picture is a fluke, she may take it once or twice a day, and you constantly have to pick it up and put it back in.

I think my milk just comes in fast... forever! With Janiah, she just learned how to deal with it, but with Caleb, I have to get him to latch so my milk will come in, quick take him off so he doesn't choke, wait until it's in, then get him to latch again. *whew*!

I had that the first week after my milk came in and Aspen did the same thing. A few times I expressed a bit into a burp cloth first and then put my boob in her mouth. That way she didn't gag from the really fast let down. It seems to have gotten better now though.

Add me to the list. He's getting better as he gets used to the flow, but he still chokes at least once during each feeding. With his cold too, it hasn't helped!

They had me pumping so much at the hospital that I was trying to feed a premie with enough flow for full term twins . Not only would he choke but we would both need to change our clothes (shirt and pants). It is much better now.

Yep, same thing here. I've been super engorged since my milk came in and when the milk lets down is just flows. Hopefully, the engorgement will level out soon.
