Default glucose test question

Where did you get the test done, at the OB or at a lab? When did you get the result back? Just curious to see if there's a correlation.

ds1, I took it at a lab. I got the results at my next appt after a blood draw.

ds2 &3, I had the same doctor, different from the first, so I took at at his office, and they just pricked my finger and took the reading with the glucometer and had a result in less than 5 seconds.

For the 1 hr test I had it done at the ob/gyn clinic at my regular check up. Had it on a thurs and got the results the following mon. For the 3 hr test I went to the lab in the same building and didn't get the results until my check up 3 weeks later. However if I'd failed it I would have gotten a phone call a few days after I'd taken it

Mine were both done at the OB office. They took two vials. Last time I didn't check on the results until my next appt., which I think is just b/c it came back fine and I didn't hear from them.

This time he said the results should be back Friday, so I may call to find out, just so I can check it off the list if it's fine.

I go to a family doctor at a clinic. So I took both the 1 hour and 3 hour at the lab there. I had my reg. appointment right after my 1 hour, so he gave me the bad news then. He called me as soon as he got the results from my 3 hour (about 45 min after I left). I really like the way this clinic and my doctor work. He even sat an chatted with me for a couple minutes during my 3 hour. The only time he hasn't called me personally about something is when I called about falling while he was delivering a baby. Even then he had his nurse relay messages. I guess there are benefits to small towns lol.

My OB is in a large clinic that has a bunch of diffrent specialties in it. They all share an in house LAB, so that is where I had it done. I got the results that afternoon.
