Default Getting ready

Does anyone else still have a lot to do to get ready for baby?
We are waiting for our tax return to get the things we need. We still need to get a co-sleeper, crib bedding set, coming home outfit, diapers and a monitor.
We need to get my other son a bed so that we can have the crib ready for the new baby.

What do you all still need to do to get ready?

That is funny we are also waiting for our tax return to buy our crib, changing table, and glider!!
Since this is our first I feel like I have nothing, my shower is in March so I will know more about what we will need to buy after that.

But I still have to scrub the carpet in the nursery (thank the lord it is already painted)
DH has to install a new light, put up mini blinds and I need to wash all the things that we have so far for him!!

Basically I am so nervous because I feel like I have nothing done!!!!!!!!!! YIKES I thought since this is number one and I am a stay at home wife I would be all ready..... but I kinda need to wait for my shower!!!

I've done NOTHING!! Eeek.... and when I think three months...it's sounds like a long time..when I say 15 weeks (now almost 14 weeks) it seems so close!! We will be getting our butts in gear soon!! But we have a lot of reno work first! I was thinking of having a bassinet in our room for the first little bit..so if we can just get the renos and decorating done...we can get the crib and stuff in later...

I just got my bassinet today. It's all set up and next to my bed. I can't stop looking at it. I have my crib already, it just isn't set up. I'm also waiting on my baby showers. I'm having two, one in March and one in April, so I really don't want to buy too much before. So far the room is painted, I have the crib bedding and several outfits. I just need to wash everything and they'll be ready for baby.

Megan- When the time comes, you should really check out E-bay for baby bedding. They have many of popular crib sets, brand new, for way less.

ABSOULUTLY NOTHING....we do not know where I will be when the baby is born so we have not gotten anything or set up anything. It’s actually driving me crazy as I am a HUGE planner but I simply can not start till I know where I am going to be living. I have the odd horrible feeling the baby will come before anything is settled and we will only have the barest of minimums to get by till we are living as a family.....I hope in Cali but at this point no one knows.

I have been really upset about this recently. This is NOT how I pictured everything. I had ideas and plans for to have a beautiful nursery to bring our first baby home too and it just feels like its never going to happen. I know the “things” are not what matter and as long as the basics are covered things will work out BUT it’s just NOT how I saw all this happening. It makes it so hard and I feel so let down but its no ones fault and it is what it is….I am just struggling to deal….sorry…did not mean to hijack the thread….just having a poor me moment.
