My dh, brother and the 3 boys are out doing something so I finally have some time to share my birth story.
It was Sat around 130 am I woke up with pretty consistent contractions for a few hours but they tappered off. So dh and I decided to go walking and we walked up this very steep hill 2 times. Nothing really major happend so we went to the mall and ate at one of our favorite Japanese restaurants. We got home around 2pm and they started up again so about 2 hours later I call labor and delivery and they told me I need to come in asap. I knew I needed to go in but really didnt want to waste my time stuck at the hospital. I called my friend she just got certification to become a doula and kind of hinted that she would like to be there. We get to the hospital around 5pm and they checked me I was a 4 they wanted me to go walking so we go outside and walk for an hour. They checked me again and I was a 6. The doctor wanted to break my water so we could get things really moving. It somewhat worked I was dialated at an 8 and kind of got stuck there. They started the lowest dosage of pitocin around 9pm and that really kicked in the contractions. My friend was great she massaged my feet, my neck, got me ice held my legs. It was truely an awesome experience to share my birth with someone other than dh. Well all of sudden I scream I need to push but if I do im going to poop. The doctor and nurse started to laugh and reassure me that I wasnt pooping. I look at my friend and dh and ask am I pooping and they tell me no. I started to cry because I knew I was and everyone was lying to me. Then my wonderful doctor says trust me your not pooping and if you do poop it wont be the first time I have been pooped on. So I started to push around 1220 am sunday and sweet Gideon arrived 8 minutes later. As soon as he came out the doctor put Gideon on my chest. I cant describe how great it felt to have this little baby on my chest, They let his cord pulsate before dh cut it. They took Gideon to get cleaned and take a look at him. HIs apgars were 8/9. I couldnt believe I did it without any kind of pain medication. Dh and my friend were so proud of me. All my birth experiences have been memorable but this one was the best by far. I dont know if its because were pretty sure this is our last baby and I was taking it all in instead of just letting it happen. I couldnt decide on a few pictures so I made a slide show. You just made this hormonal momma to be cry!! I loved you slide show. It's beautiful!! The pics were awesome!! Sounds like your birth was just perfect in everyway!! Congrats on you for going pain med free. You look awesome for a pain free birth. So happy your little man is here!! Congrats again and TFS your story and pics. I loved it all!!
Oh, he's SOOOO beautiful!!! I'm so thrilled to hear that you have such an amazing birth story to treasure forever. I got tears seeing lil' Titus with him...just so very precious! I am seriously over the moon excited for you!!! (And how cool about your doula friend - awesome!) Congratulations, again!

Great story. I'm so glad everything went so well. I love your slideshow. The boys were so adorable with their newest little brother! Gideon is gorgeous. I was thinking as I was watching the show how lucky your boys are. They will have such an awesome time growing up together. You have a beautiful family! Congrats!!!

Wow Mama! You look great for doing it natural. Makes me excitied for my birth. Those pics were so sweet. Made me tear up! Especially the one where Titus appears to be sleeping and Gideon is crying.
