Default Double stroller recommendations anyone?

Hi ladies. Sorry I've been a bit mia. Long story there, which I'll share in a different post. Anyway, my friends have completely surprised me by wanting to throw me a shower next weekend. Then they called and asked if there were any larger ticket items that I might want or need that they could all go in on! Wow, what a surprise!

Here' some info that might help:
My dd will be three when baby is born

My DH and I were thinking of a double stroller, but don't know what is best. We love the Phil and Ted, but it's just way out of our budget. Do you know of anything similar that is lower-priced?

I also love the McClaren umbrella type single stroller, but I saw that their double is a side-by side. I'm not sure if that is too wide/bulky for people or if you like it?

Please, any advice is HUGELY appreciated. There are just so many to choose from. Thank you so much ladies!!!

Toys"R"Us - Double Stroller

I am getting the middle one (triple stroller), as I have the two boys, who weigh just under 40 pounds each that I have to truck along too. Maybe you will get some ideas from the link. I had a double Jeep stroller, deluxe version. It held up pretty good, folded easy, and had all sorts of add ons that made it nice. I liked it alot.

I was going to get the Joovy, but ended up cashing in my flyer miles and got this one off of Amazon and I love it. Right now I been pushing my 4yr old and 2yr old around in it. It is super easy to push and turn,

I think the Maclaren looks like a nice stroller. I've never tried it though, so I don't have any personal experience. I think the Combi side by side stroller looks really nice too.

We purchased the Phil and Teds a few months ago. I really love it! We got it at a good time though because they were running a special where they were including the double kit for free which helped a lot.

Not sure what I would have gotten if I hadn't been able to get that one. I need a full seat for both kiddos because my ds still loves to ride in the stroller and will still occasionally sleep in it. So I'm going to keep him there for as long as I can, lol.

Thanks so much ladies!! I appreciate all of the help. I can't even believe this, but it looks like my IL's were planning on getting us a stroller. They called today and asked us if we liked the Bob or the Phil & Ted's better. What the heck???!!! I didn't expect anyone to get gifts let alone this large of ones. This is our second baby girl in 3 years. But they said, "what we do for 1 grandchild, we do for the others." I'm speechless.

Brandi- that is an awesome deal you found on the P&E's. Do you remember where you purchased it? I will have to keep my eyes open for deals like that.

Now to think of something else to tell my friends. Wow, this is a nice problem to have. I can't say I've ever been in this situation before. What an awesome and unexpected surprise!

Oh wow!! So cool!!

I purchased from Baby Bungalow,Ameda Breast Pump,Maclaren,Jogging Strollers,Bertini,Baby Bjorn and we got the black one, NEW! Phil and Ted's Sport Four in One BLACK Baby Stroller<br> INCLUDES Doubles Kit - FREE SHIPPING!

Shipping took a bit longer than I liked, but that was because we ordered it during that sale so they said orders were just taking a bit longer than normal. I don't think it would be an issue now.
I love it! It took a bit to get used to folding and unfolding, and I got a bit frustrated at first, BUT I think a lot of it has to do with me being very pregnant and having to lift it out of my SUV. Now I've figured it out and it's not an issue really.
Plus, there was a little tear on the foam cover on the handle and I contacted them and they sent out a replacement handle immediately. So they seem to have great customer service! So now I have two brand new handles for it.

Phil and Teds e3 sport buggy has some good videos that show how to work the stroller and all it's features.

Good luck deciding!!
