Icon5 Constipation

I didn't have this issue with DS, so it's all new to me! I've been taking one stool softener each of the last 2 nights to help.

I know this is a strectch - but do you think that being "backed up" can affect you having ctx or productive ones? Just so hard to believe that with the sweep and stretch yesterday, next to nothing has happened.

Can you tell I'm getting desperate??

Hang in there!
I never cleaned out prior to labour. I think b4 labour everything slow down in anticipation of the body's big job ahead. Afterwards though, I was living off of stool softeners(2 per day) for the 1st week PP too...thank God for them!!

Ugh. I had that problem last week. It's no fun. I just increased my intake of salad greens & fruit and decreased my intake of cheeses. Hope you find something that works for you and that your little guy comes soon!

Is Ian excitied to become a big brother?

Actually it does to a degree, or so my OB and the midwife were telling me yesterday as I have the same problem. I ate 3 packs of sesame seeds snaps last night and within 4 hours things were going again. If you clear it, baby may come. Fiber, seeds, lots of water, prunes, enema, whatever works for you.

Carley - Ian seems to kind of understand the baby is coming, but I don't think he gets that he'll be here to stay! He's used to babies form daycare, but at the end of the day he still has mom and dad to himself. So this should be interesting!

Thanks for the advice ladies. I may try some Metamucil too. Anything to get things moving!!
