Default Car Seat woes and a question?

Okay I'm seriously going to go crazy here with Kiki's car seat. It's a Graco snugride and we have had been to the Car seat clinic to make sure we installed the base properly and that we were putting Kiara in correctly.

Everytime she is in the carseat, her head falls forward. She has really poor head control still. We have a rolled up burp blanket at the bottom to boost her up like they showed us in the NICU and at the clinic. We also have a rolled up burp blanket inside of her head rest to go around her head like the headrest does. Her straps are at the right level, and she seems okay until we put her in the van. She is such a wiggler that she gets her head out of the head rest and then can't hold it up, so her head falls forward

Any suggestions?

Aww, I don't know what to try. Maybe borrow a different brand of seat & see if the problem goes away?
I hope you find a solution!

That is the one that we had w/one of our twins and had the same problem.

The hospital told us to buy one of those water floaty things (long noodle shaped thing) and place that underneath - close to the seat - and tighten. It worked, whether it was the right thing to use or not, I don't know...

Good luck!

We have the same problem...I think it's our van though. We have used the same seat with the other 2, but had a different car and had no problems. I was going to suggest the pool noodle or a rolled up towel too. I was playing around with the base last night trying to get it level and came to the conclusion that's what we're going to have to do. Good luck!

I did the pool noodle too, and it worked great. I had to cut it into a couple of pieces and test it a couple times till I got it at the right angle and tight,. but what a difference.

I've used a pool noodle for all three kids, and in three different vehicles. Also, make sure that the part side that goes against the seat is as far out as it goes (does that make sense?) The noddle is what made the big difference every time.

Does it fall forward or to the side? Is the seat reclined at the right angle, I'm assuming so since you've had it checked. How old is she? I rarely have to use noodles w/ the Snugride. Is it reclined on the highest setting?
