How soon after giving birth did you get your first menstrual cycle?
I'd been lightly bleeding since delivery but today I've had cramps and increased bleeding.

just normal? abnormal? or bad luck that I didn't get a break before my period began?

If your bleeding has not stopped since delivery, it does not count as a menstrual cycle. It may be that you are overdoing it too much. With my first (c/s) I bled for 6-8 weeks. It felt like it would never end, and it went from light to heavy based on what I did. I bf'ed all my boys, so I did not get my period til around a year, later than that for my third. I know for ff babies, you can get it the next month, or 6 months later. It really depends on your body.

yeah i was going to ask do you breast feed or formula feed? I got mine with Stone at about 8 weeks out.... I stopped breast feeding at 5.... so it came quickly. I had stopped bleeding though from delivery.

Eventhough I was exclusively Breastfeeding I got my cycle back at 6 weeks. Sigh.... Have you been on your feet alot? If you are doing alot pp bleeding can pick up again.

I exclusively b/f (no pumping or bottles) and got my first one at about 10 months pp. But I agree if your pp bleeding hadn't stopped yet, it is probably still that.

My cycle came back at one month exactly. Even tho I was pumping. Everyone is different, so it's not "abnormal"
