Default Bottles

With DS I used the regular Dr. Browns and loved them for the reduction of gas. But Ian had a hard time staying latched at first so we used the bottles quite often. I tried to BF later, but he was totally used to the bottles and it didn't work.

So this time I'm thinking of getting the wideneck Dr. Brown bottles as I'm going to try to nurse again. But I know there will be times I'll need to pump, even in BF is successful. Anyone used them or have any input?

TIA!!!

I really dont.... i go abck and forth with bf... similar to you i gave stone bottles.... not cause he didnt latch.... he latched like a pro.... but my milk.... it just wasnt enough... i mean it was fulfilling him.... at 2 weeks (still loosing weight) we gave him formula and he was like an etheopian eating for the first time. poor guy) So once we started with the bottles he like took to them. But now i know maybe i should have bf him more so my milk could come in more... so i go back and forth. Plus I wont do in front of stone.... and he is home a lot. So, me too will use bottles.

I used Avent.... with stone they were the best.... but now with the plastice issue. I may try Bobys own or something..mam.... they seem safe.

Good luck to you.

Have you seen the Dr. Brown's electric pump? I found one through Amazon for $89 incl shipping, and comes with 1 wide and 1 standard. It was on their new and used list, and is new in box.

I did see the pump advertised, but have my medela from DS, so I'll stick with that.

I think I'm either going with Dr. Browns or Born Free wide neck

I breastfed Logan and plan to do the same with this baby but since I have to go back to work 8 weeks post baby I pump and used playtex drop in bottles. Most of the time I would use the breastmilk bags instead of the drop in liner so I could freeze my milk. I will probably try a few different kind of bottles if Daniel has problems with playtex.
