Default Birth plans?

Has anyone done a "birth plan". I'm OCD and it makes sense to me to plan, but do the hospitals really stick with your wishes...

I am not going to do a birth plan. I prefer to just go with the flow, expecially when you never really know whats going to happon when you actually get down to it.

I had a birth plan for ds, but seriously it all went out the window when it came time to have my ds. So I'm not stressing about it this time and plan on going with the flow (which in my case means a scheduled c-section). But in the event I go early, I will still just adjust to a new plan.

No plan here. Each child I have had, had such different births (uncontrollable). I prefer to just go with the flow.

I have never had one...but the Drs have always been good about asking what I want. The one thing I do bring is a sign that says "no bottle please" to put in their bassinet

Nope, I've never had a plan either -- but my physicians (and nurses) have always been great about asking me what I want -- and explaining why something may need to be done another way.

To tell you the truth, I'm a REAL BIG PLANNER! I love to always know what's going on. This is one of those situations where you just can't be in control of everything. Luckily, my doctor talked me through all of this when I was pregnant with my first. I'm REALLY glad he did. Basically, we talked about the few things that were important to me and just said "let the rest happen how it will happen..." My daughter's birth was VERY fast and it was quite confusing and chaotic, so I was glad I just let things happen... well, the best that I could!!

I have no plan...I only have one mission...and that's to get the baby out as safely as possible by any means possible!! One thing for sure is I stress the no bottle, no soother thing. Everything else, I decide as it comes up. Birth is one of the most unpredictable things in life!
