Default Bfing and vomit

So last night at his 1:20 feeding, Joshua threw up his milk. He's a snoozer when he eats, so I chalked it up to me jiggling him too much to get him to eat. It was quite a bit of milk, but certainly not all that he ate.

Then this morning at 8:00 am feeding, he threw up ALL the milk he drank! Him, I, the pillow, etc. were all drenched. So we had an early morning bath to clean up.

Anyone have a newborn that was BF and still vomited up? I'm not sure if he ate too much, took too much air, etc. My milk tends to flow pretty quickly, so I'm thinking he just took too much to fast. And he's a tough one to burp!

I hope this doesn't continue....makes for long nights and days!

Cecilia does that too! i was wondering about this myself.....she eats then spits up a lil but sometimes she does alot....so i started giving her isomil cause she wasnt sleeping at all and seemed like she may have a lil belly ache?....also i felt lil bubbles in her tummy...and she continued to spit up...so i gave her some similac sensitive formula and it seems to be working....her eating habits are not on a sched i have tried but she falls asleep and then as soon as i put her down she wakes up again...shes a grunter...i have given her mylecon drops....but i noticed that she had alot of sleep comming from her right eye so i took her in to the ped and they gave her the gel that they put in the eyes when they are born i just recently thought perhaps it was the gel that was making her cranky?...it has erythromyacin in it and her lil poop began an aweful oder and wasnt the simple yellow that it should have been so i stopped the gel...and now she is normal in that dept again....im totally lost with this one....i even cut out my caffine intake and i am a coffee drinker thinking that perhaps thats why she was fussy....but she really enjoys the lavender johnson and johnson bathtime wash and lotion it seems to calm her down right away....all of it in the begining is trial and error...

Dylan does that too but not at every feeding. My milk flows pretty fast too and I think he is taking in too much air. I think I am going to start burping him every 3-5 min and see if that helps...also might even try to de-latch him when my milk lets down since he seems to swallow too much air.

Same thing happened to us 2 nights ago. She vomited everything in her stomach. It was a mess but that was the only time she even spit up.

D did this earlier this week. I remember DD doing it at least once every few days until she was about 2.5 months old. She wasn't a great burper and would chug when the milk started flowing. Now, D ended up sputtering if he can't keep up until he chokes...doesn't know well enough to let go to breath yet...silly boy! He ends up taking in a lot of air when he does this and if I don't burp him, he'll bring it up at the end of the nursing session. Most often he'll bring up a bit when he does his man-sounding burps...but better off that then the whole feeding.

I feel like as time goes on, Carter spits up more and more, at first he very rarely every spit up now, after every feeding there is a small amount! I think that he is just a piggy and he eats to fast for his little belly!

Mateo does this sometimes too. Usually when he has a lot of air in his tummy, or if he's eaten too much (like when dh gave him a bottle of EBM then I came home and tried to nurse him.)

Joshua also seems to have a lot of mucous. He always sounds like he has boogies in his nose and when asleep on me I notice him almost gagging. Today he had a little gagging fit that totally scared me! Will dairy in my diet cause something like this for him?? Anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks ladies!
