Icon5 BF Question

BF didn't workout well with DS and frankly I just can't remember much.

So I got home today, Joshua is doing great at nursing. He'd be on these things all day if I could handle it So my milk is starting to come in, but it looks pretty orange/yellowish and earlier today he had a tad of spit up that was white with some orangy color in it.

Is this normal?? I don't remember that from last time and am hoping it's just the last of the colostrum mixing with my milk. I have a feeling my boobies will be having a rough night as this kiddo loves to fall asleep while he's eating!

Any advice is greatly appreciated!! TIA ladies

From what I experienced...it takes awhile before the milk looks like milk...and I remember Brooke's spit up was orangey/yellow looking but I only noticed it on the cloth - I don't recall it being that colour when she actually spit up.
Congrats on Joshua taking BFing so well. Out here we have Breast Feeding Clinics and Lactation Consultants to ask advice of. Is there something like that in your community? Maybe try contacting the Laleche Leauge (sp?) - not sure if they are Canadian or North American wide??

Good Luck...

Mine was that color for longer than I expected, even when it seemed like a decent supply. I don't know about the spit up though, since I didn't get to feed him that early.

The color sounds about right. I remember mine being that color right before my milk totally came in. So happy to hear nursing is going so well for you this time around. That is awesome news!!! Congrats!!!
