Got this prenatal heart listener for $15 today at my company's surplus store. Not sure if it'll work, but for $15 I thought I'd give it a try. Hopefully I can return it if it's not worth the money

Anyone tried this one?

Lurking from DIJune...
Ive heard many people say its BAD and no good... waste of money. Its like a stethescope (sp?). And some, well most, don't even hear the heartbeat with it at all.

Yeah, I'm not overly optimistic, so I figure I can return if I need to!

yep, went through an ENTIRE pregnancy without hearing anything but stomach gurgles.
No-one I know has gotten them things to pick up a baby heartbeat. check out some of the reviews on it at Amazon and etc.

A friend of mine just lent me this at the weekend. I wasn't overly optimistic because every review I've read is abd and she'd never had any luck with it. Sure enough all we could hear is stomach noises, man is it noisy in there! Even had a hard time finding my own heartbeat with it! U nevr kno tho it mite work for you. Good luck!

I've actually been lucky and found a heartbeat almost everytime i've used mine. just be patient with it

I hate to be negative, but it didn't work for me for my last pregnancy at all. I tried forever to hear the heartbeat with it, but could never get it. Also, mine said (inside the package) that you couldn't return it, b/c it was a "personal hygiene" item or something like that. I was a little annoyed to say the least.

I really hope yours works better than mine did. Maybe they have improved the technology since 2.5 years ago. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Let us know if it does work, please?

I had one with my last pregnancy and I ended up taking it back because it never worked...
