Baby's Rag Quilt
I finally finished it. I was surprised at how easy it was. The longest part was just cutting out the 80-something squares for the front and back. But it turned out just the way I wanted...vintage looking. I don't have a pic of the crib skirt, but it's the same colour as the dark blue squares on the quilt(or the back side of it). I was too annoyed by that time to make it look like a ruffle and gather it, so I made it straight and just put a pleat in half way on each side. And oh yeah, I also made tab top valance with the same fabric as the fitted sheet...not up yet though, but it's progress.

Awww, that looks great Dawn Marie!
I made a little quilt (cradle size) in a fish pattern w/ green& beige. I'm really hoping I can find the time to make a crib size one after baby arrives. Gettin' a little tired of green around here

I figured if I didn't do it now then I'd probably not get to it for months. Plus, I was needing a reason to stick my butt in the air to get this little guy to flip from being breech (which he did!), so I measured and cut my fabric on the floor. The kids became trained not to step on the fabric and DD helped me to make the 'square sandwiches'. Looking back I have no clue how I found the energy cause I have zero now! Took me...maybe 3-4 days with doing an hour here and an hour there.

Re: Baby's Rag Quilt
That's adorable! A friend sewed my baby a quilt, but that's as close as I've gotten to making anything! You did so well on it!

Re: Baby's Rag Quilt
WOW! Fantastic job!! I love the vintage print! My aunt has done a few of those type quilts and I really like them. I'll have to get her to show me how someday!
