Default Baby Positioning Thread Question...

So, with all of us that have baby's that are still head up/transverse, has your OB talked to you at all about doing a version?!?! At my last appointment (Tuesday) my OB talked about doing a version this coming week (Thursday/Friday). I have an appointment w/him on Tuesday to discuss options and what not, but I'm just wondering why he'd push it this early?!?! I'm thinking he may be going on my track record (twins at 35 weeks and my first at 36 weeks) and is just deciding that if he can do it now and my waters break, then baby will hopefully be/stay head down....

We thought that we were decided against the version -- but now some things have come up and we are rethinking our original decision. Has anyone had to do this in previous pregnancies?!?! Advice?!?

Default Re: Baby Positioning Thread Question...

My OB began talking about versions at my 34 week appt..and wanted to schedule it prior to 37 weeks since it's easier to turn baby at that point. I planned on refusing anyways but baby turned within the past 2 weeks... I was thinking of doing it just so that I could avoid a c-section, but after reading all the failed attempts and where they would do it here, I decided against it. Hopefully baby will flip for you before any final decision is made!!

Default Re: Baby Positioning Thread Question...

Sorry I have no advice on a version. DS flipped to a breech position at 38 weeks and due to his position the OB would not even attempt one. Hopefully, your little one will end up flipping on you and you do not have to worry about this. Good luck!!
