Well, today was my 38 wk appt. I made a little progress- from 1 to 2 cm. Not a whole lot but at least it's something, right? He went ahead and stripped my membranes to see if that will get anything going. There was some bloody show right after- but I'm sure only because of the manipulation. That was at 9 am and I have been steadily cramping since.
It sounds silly but we are trying to hold off having her today because it's MIL's b-day and it would be nice for them to each have their own days so I have been resting instead of trying to bring on stronger contx for once! My doc is on call tomorrow though so tomorrow wouldn't be a bad time for something to start up...we'll see.
If nothing happens this weekend then we are all set up to come in Tuesday morning for induction though! Yay! It's kinda odd but we have to be there at 1 am...2 rounds of cytotec through the night then pitocin in the am after we have (hopefully) gotten some rest and let the pills make some cervix progress while I rest. That's the plan anyways. It's just nice to know that no matter what I only have 4 days left of being pg and we will be meeting our daughter by Tuesday at the latest! Wow!

Wow Brandy! You are soooo close. How exciting. Good luck with everything. Should be interesting to see if you go on your own this weekend or will be induced. Whichever happens I'll be sending fast & easy labor vibes your way!
What is the dr's reason for induction before your due date? My dr said that if there is any progress "down there" on Monday he will admit me Monday night. He didn't really give me a reason but did say that he wants me to avoid problems I had with DS - things we will discuss further on Monday. I may go ahead with the induction or ask to wait another week and see if I can go on my own. I am due the 23rd
I'm betting you do not make it to your induction date as well. I hope you go on your own this weekend. Heck, I'm hoping I go too this weekend, but I'm not holding my breath. I have the same problem as you ...MIL b-day is Tuesday and I too want my little one to have her own date. So, here's to labor vibes for tomorrow for you!!! Good luck and KUP!!!
I hope you are right Ronna...I'd love to have her any ol' time after 12 am!
Desi~ In my doc's practice they sched the inductions 7-10 days before your due date if you are favorable for induction. I will be just about a week before me due date on the 13th. I would prefer for him to deliver me so that is why we picked Tuesday- he's on call. I don't even know if they sched other docs in the practice to induce pts they haven't met.
Thanks Sept9th...I hope that you go sometime this weekend too- so you don't run the risk of a Tuesday delivery!

Lots of us will be going in the next 2-4 days I think So exciting. I want to have this little one tomorrow so bad but we shall see....so far my body is just not co-operating.
