Default Anyone's baby actually sleep in their bassinet?

Or swing, or papasan chair, or anywhere but in mommy's bed?? My little one loves to snuggle and will sleep for several hours when someone is holding her...but lay her down in her bassinet, crib, bouncer or swing and she is up w/in minutes. Are we the only ones?? Any suggestions? I think my older dd did this for a while but grew out of it, but I can't remember.

She nods off in her carseat during the day, but she is in our bed at night. She likes to know her booby is close by. lol

Evans pretty good actually. At the start he slept better in his swing during the day than his basinette during the night but now he sleeps in his basinette no problem. He wakes for his feed and then goes back in awake and falls back asleep straight away. Last night was a record, he went asleep at 11.30 and didn't wake until 5!! He usually only sleeps 3 and half hrs at a time. I fed him and put him back in and he slept until 8.30 when he woke with a dirty diaper. So hopefully he'll do the same 2nite!

I was having this exact same problem, so I adapted to her needs. She is held in a baby carrier as needed during the day, and she sleeps in a co-sleeper with us at night. We will transition to her crib by the age of 3 months, but for now, our pedi has recommended that we attend to her needs for comfort and closeness rather than try to force our pre-determined expectations on her as there is no correlation between holding your newborn and lack of independence in your toddler. GL!

She will nap in her's during the day, but there is something about night time...well maybe it's Mommy too. She will sleep much longer if she is snuggled beside me and I like getting as much sleep as possible so...needless to say she spends much more time snuggled up to me than in her bassinet:-)

Mariah sleeps in her glider or ergo baby carrier (or someones arms is what she prefers) and at night she will sleep in her bassinet. There has been a few times we have brought her into bed with us when she wont go back to sleep in her bassinet, but I am trying to get her as used to it as possible.

Dylan just started sleeping in his crib last week. The first couple of weeks were terrible. He still won't let me put him down during the day but at least he sleeps at night (well,he wakes up for feedings). We were sleeping with him on our chests but I really wasn't comfortable with that. Dh and I are both VERY sound sleepers and I am a very violent sleeper. I have literally kicked the cats off the bed multiple times and I actually bruised dh's ribs once . Sorry I have no advice because he didn't slowly start getting better he just went from screaming one day to being fine the next.

Well he is doing pretty good..He starts off in his bassinett next to our bed at night. I try to put him back in there but I usually end up with him in my bed by early morning so I can get some sleep. During the day he was sleeping alot in his swing so I have been trying to switch things up by putting him in his crib and bassinett for naps. He is usually asleep when I lay him down so now I need to work on putting him down while he's still awake. I do love my snuggle time though

During the day she will nap in her papasan swing or in the bed with me if I get to take a nap too. But at night she's mostly next to me in the bed. I don't even think to put her in her crib...it just doesn't cross my mind. Sometimes when I think about it, I will lay her in her crib and she does fine. The crib is in our room. I love snuggling with her, so I don't mind if she is in our bed too.

Reid sleeps in the bassinet probably 90% of the time. He's gotten to the point that he doesn't sleep much during the day. I think he takes 2 long naps, otherwise, he's awake.

Tatum started off sleeping at night in her bassinet, but now she just sleeps in my bed. During the day she'll sleep in her bouncy chair or Sweetpeace. I'm going to start trying to put her down during the day in her bassinet though.

Corinna sleeps in the bassinet at night, swaddled in the miracle blanket and within a sleep positioner. We also heat the bassinet w/a heating pad (and remove it) before we put her in it.
