Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
Last night I had my 1st official dream about going into labor. It was so vivid it seemed real. I dreamed that my water broke on a Friday at 7:00 p.m. just like it did in real life with DD. In my dream I said OMG...this is just like when I went into labor with Kensley. In my dream I arrived at L&D and when they finally checked me they were like you are already a 10 and I was like WOW I'm not hurting at all. Now, I know I was dreaming because when I was a 5 in real life with DD I was like give me an EPI this hurts!!! In my dream I only pushed once and she was out. I can only hope that when I do deliver her I only push a few times instead of for an hr like I did with Kensley. So, I wonder as I get closer if I will start dreaming about going into labor more?? Who knows. Anyone else dreaming about labor????

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
None yet! I am "daydreaming" that it be like ds labor and not dd's. Dd's was awful, long and she was sunny side up. Ds's labor was much better. When I got to the hospital I was at a 5. THAT was so nice! I had him 5 hours later. I hope to do that again this time!!

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
I have alot of dreams through out the night, but I usually forget what they were by the time I roll out of bed. I dont think any of them were about the actual labor though. I do remember 2 dreams I had, well bits of them, my first one I gave birth to a little peanut she was so tiny and had dark black hair, I just remember cuddling up to her. My second was that I gave birth to twin girls, which is impossible because there is only one in there. Maybe I was just thinking about me and my sister. My sister is due with her third baby girl a month after me. I really dont want to dream about the actual labor. Each childs labor was easier, but I can still remember the pain plain as day. I can remember giving birth to my oldest 17 years ago. I dont want to scare anyone especially our first time mommies. I can tolerate pain well but labor is another story, even though the minute after the little one comes out you forget all the pain you were put through. Also when I had the epidurals with my fourth and fifth child neither one worked. So I am sure if they would have worked it would have been much better. I just cant wait to hold and snuggle my little love bug!

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
I dreamt twice in the last wk that I had the baby early and had a c section. Can only remember bits of the dreams so I don't know why I had to have the ceserean. I remember more of the 2nd one and it was a baby girl but I never actually got to see her. The doc said I had to get out of bed and walk as soon as possible so he brought a whole gang of us on a walk down sewers and through basements and all this weird stuff. Then he gave us a gift pack with toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash and stuff. Even in the dream I was thinking you'd swear we'd been to the dentist not just had babies, why is he giving us this???
Very weird. Also the first day or so of my period I have reeeeeaaaalllly bad cramps, so when I have them at nighttime I always dreamt it was labour pains rather than period pains. So I've had lots of labour dreams before I was ever pregnant

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
No real dreams about that yet, but I do have some vivid, crazy dreams! It will be interesting to see if we all start having more & more labor dreams as the dates get closer. I hope yours comes true for you...it sounds like a GREAT labor! hee hee

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
Not yet. I keep dreaming that I lose the baby. Not like he dies, but like i litteraly lose him. I'm looking everywhere and can't find him, even though i'm still pregnant with him. Weird.

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
I know that I had one dream where she was just born, but I dont remember if the labor part was actually in the dream too. I kinda think it would be neat to experience one of those dreams though.

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
ME!
I even wrote a blog about it a few days ago. I dreamed I had my little boy but first I had my first son again... who's 4 years old now but somehow he was put back in. Anyways, I had him first then I didn't feel the one I have now come out, Thomas. So in the dream I feel a baby moving under my shirt but can feel his arms and legs. I lift my shirt and there he is- a minature of my 4 year old son, complete with hair and teeth and expressions but so tiny. I ended up trying to find a nurse to help me warm him since he was sort of cold. We put him under some strange dryer and my coworkers are the nurses. It was so weird of a dream. Made me think though about what this one is going to look like.

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
Haha, those are funny. I had one last week, but it wasn't good. I posted about it, but thankfully, I haven't had any other labor dreams like that! Or any more at all, really.

Re: Anyone Dreaming About Labor??
I have had two similar dreams... I go to the hospital...and I'm not there for the labour...I am told later that I had one time it was a boy the last time it was a girl. DH was with the baby I was like oh okay..
I think its because I'm really not sure yet what to expect...eventhough we have had our classes and I know it's going to hurt!!
