Well......I came home in tears. I know things will happen when they are meant to but it’s just so frustrating. I am so happy my DH is here but time keeps ticking away and he has to go home soon. Now he will stay till she is born no matter what but really its looking like he will have very little time with her before he has to go back to work. I am so very sad.

My cervix is still closed tight but it is thinning out and we are at 50% now, Mackenzie’s head is lower and the doctor said that’s a good sign. BUT my cervix is still very far back so I have made some progress but defiantly not as much as we were all hoping for. He tried to "stretch" my cervix as it was too closed to strip the membrane sooo we are hoping that the bit of manipulation he did will help. I have a NTS scheduled for Thursday morning and then he will call on Thurs afternoon or Friday and we will come up with a plan from there. Depending on what happens they may keep me but if things go well then we are looking at an induction early next week. I will know by the end of the week regardless.

I have gained a TON of weight.....I jumped 7.5lb in one week But my BP is still in the "low" range so it is a bit of a concern but not a huge one yet. I am starting to swell so he thinks it’s partly water weight. I am kind of hoping the test on Thursday will show they need to keep me in and induce me right away......but at this point not much we can do.

Wait Wait Wait.....I am soooo bad at that.

I'm so sorry things aren't progressing. I know how you feel, seems like these babies are never going to get here. Here's to hoping they decide to induce ya this week!!!!

I saw your post- lurking from DIJ but I know you from the 30 somethings! You know, if you really, really want the baby to come- try sex...if you haven't already. Or nipple stimulation, or have hubby do it. Any kind of clitoral stim will help too. And it's probably more fun than having your memebranes stripped!

Take a bath, relax, breathe. The baby will come.

I hope you can avoid the induction!

Aww I'm sorry. I really hope she comes soon for you! At my 39 week check up I was 50% effaced and still closed too and I went into labour 4 days later and I wasn't tryin evening primrose oil or pineapple or any of the other techniques, so hopefully seeing as you are trying evrything it'll happen even sooner for you

Oh I am so sorry! I know the feeling...with my first I remember calling my dh from the mall and just crying because I was 40 weeks and wasn't even dialated! It is pretty common for first babies to be late I think....your body hasn't done this before so it is all new! I am thinking of you and hope this baby comes soon!
