Well I put a post up last night about my blood pressure. So I went in today and my blood pressure was still up 140/90. They hooked me up to the NST. Things looked okay, I was having contractions. She checked my cervix and I am dilated to 2 and my cervix is softening. She drew some more blood to see if it changed from last week. If it changes for the negative then they could induce me in the next few days. If things come back okay she is going to see if i go into labor on my own. If I don't go into labor on my own before the 17th, then I will be induced either the 17th or 18th. I have an U/S scheduled for Wednesday to see how the lungs are developing and if the baby is growing good. Then I have a dr. appt this Thursday to be checked again.

So the bad news is I am on bedrest ....was really hoping that wouldn't happen but better safe than sorry. So there's the update.

Bummer. I spent a ton of time on bedrest with my second. Grab a ton of books and trashy magazines to get you through.

Oh I am sorry about the bedrest. I can't remember...is there a reason besides the blood pressure for the bedrest? I hope that you go into labor on your own!

Better safe than sorry and the 17th isn't too far away! Have DH get you some books/mags/games to occupy yourself!

Julie - I think that the bedrest helps keep your blood pressure down. Well hoping they will...Can't always control what it does.

I hope she comes before more serious things happen. It just scares me to have it happen this way...I wish it was a normal pregnancy. It was going really good until last week when my BP started spiking. But I can't wait to meet my baby girl!! Just a little scared....

Sorry your bp is up and that you are on bed rest. However, the good news is that your baby girl is doing well and gosh she could really be here soon!! Hang in there and keep us posted. We will all be thinking about you!!

Ugh, bedrest and high bp suk. Hope things get better for you, and the bedrest helps things. The good news is your baby girl is okay. I third the books and trashy magazines and whatever else it takes to bide the time away. I am sure the clock hands will seem like they are taking forever. KUP!

bed rest does suck... but you know.... the high bp isnt something they cant control. I have several friends that had that...and are healthy now with healthy babies.... So, dont let it get you down... just do what the doctors say. gl

Hang in there Mama! I (more than anyone) know that bedrest sucks, but it will be Sooooooooooooo worth it in the end.
