36 week appointment!

I had my 36 week appointment today. They did the GBS test and I will find out next week the results. Hopefully I will pass like I did with my other kids but you just never know!
I have gained 3 lbs in 2 weeks.

My blood pressure was 106/70, hemaglobin (sp?) was 13.5 which they said was great. Urine tested out great too!

The NP checked my cervix and said I am dialated 2 cm. She didnt mention anything about effacement and I didnt ask. I wish I had b/c now im wondering!
My next appointment is next thursday and if I remember I will ask the dr about effacement when she checks my cervix.
So other than the weight gain (up to about 40 lbs now!), my appointment went great!
Im hoping that next week I will be dialated at least a little more. B/c all the more I dialate now that all the less I have to deal with while in labor. lol

Oh yeah, I am actually doing much better today than I had this last week. I had been feeling SOOOO down. You ladies made me feel much better and it helped also to have a good appointment and a good nights sleep! Meaning the kids slept straight through, I went to bed early and only had to get up to pee in the night. Of course I had to pee like 4 or 5 times but thats to be expected!
Im hoping to go on my own in the next 3 weeks but if I make it to May 1st then they will induce that morning. So its really exciting to know at the most I have only 3 weeks left!

WOOT!!!! Sounds like a great apt!!!! I am so happy you are feeling better. Way to progress momma!!!!

Man I wish I had my doc check I am sooo curious if I am making any strides in the right direction. BUT I will ask on Monday so I guess it’s not that far away!!!! BUT dang I am curious hearing about all of you starting to dilate.

Sounds like a great appt., dilated to a 2? That's awesome! Blod pressure was really good and don't worry about the weight gain.

Sounds like a great appointment! Don't worry about the weight gain now, you are almost there, try just to focus on that!

Wow three weeks or less for you, that is awesome. Great to hear you have a head start in the dialation department. It will make such a difference when you are in labor.

Yayyy!! That is so awesome. I can't believe how close you are. I'm so excited for you. I'm so glad you are feeling better this week. That's great. You are just so close...soon you'll be holding your little baby in your arms. Keep up the good work!!

Oh, and don't worry about the weight gain, I'm sure it's all water weight (as I finish my cake w/strawberries for dessert.)

Glad you are feeling better and you had a great appt. Just think.... YOU ARE GOING TO BE HOLDING YOUR BABY SOON!! That is so exciting!!! Bonus on the dilation. That is awesome that you are already at a 2. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to hear the progress on your next appt. Good luck on you GBS test!!

I hope thats the case. I did gain 43 with my last baby and lost 32 by the time he was 8 weeks old, so I think that I do tend to gain a lot of water weight. I get so puffy. Sometimes I feel like the marshmellow puff man! And I actually do try to limit salty foods! Can you even imagine how huge I would be if I didnt!??!!
