Yikes, were Docs a part of the 80's??? I was still sportin' them in the 90's
I definitely had SUPER high bangs... what a look - kind of like you hit a wall at 100 mph and your hair got stuck that way. And teasing it, man oh man, talk about damage!
There was a look at my school in the VERY early 80's - just before we started wearing lacy fingerless gloves a al Madonna - that had us wearing colored tights and bobby socks. Was it just my school? I liked that look! lol
And don't forget "tight rolling" your faded jeans. And acid washed jeans. And, of course, the tapestry / flower printed jeans - ick!
I had a pair, of course.
And fluorescent shirts along with your Frankie Goes to Hollywood RELAX shirts. And then hypercolor! Remember that? Girls just could NOT wear hypercolor b/c the heat generated at the armpits and from the boobs made it obscene
How about wearing spandex biker shorts under your Jams? Or Vans - I know they're *still* around, but they were such a must-have item in the mid-80's!
Of course, there was also the parachute pants (I never had any) and the multiple zippered jacket like MJ. And who can forget the fake moles & lace headbands like Madonna (to go along w/ those fingerless gloves). OOooooh, and how about those legwarmers like Flashdance?! And the hacked up sweatshirts?!
