Hi there...and welcome!
I am about as far along as you are...
I really don't know much about spotting, but I have read and heard that it is normal during pregnancy. (I know that is probably not very comforting, though.) I would really just stay in close contact with your doctor...don't worry about calling too much, I can guarantee you are not the first! That's what they are there for...to help you through this.
I have the book "What to Expect When You Are Expecting", and it has some guidelines in there for when
not to worry: Mild cramps, achiness, or pulling sensation on one or both sides of the abdomen; slight stainig around the time of AF, and light pink spotting after intercourse.
It says to call the doctor immediately if you have: bleeding w/ cramps or pain in the center of your lower abdomen or one one side; severe pain or if the pain continues for more than one day; when bleeding is as heavy as a menstrual period or staining continues for more than three days; w/ a history of miscarriage.
Also, it says to go to the ER if you cannot reach your doctor if: bleeding soaks several pads in an hour or if the pain is unbearable; pass clots or grayish or pink material.
Hope that helps some...I'll be praying for you.
