High Risk of DS and/or Heart Defects

We learned last Friday that there's a real chance that our baby could have Down's Syndrome and/or heart defect. We are to undergo amnio this week and then must wait 2 weeks for results.

Please pray that we survive the next 2 weeks and that the baby is OK.

You are in my prayers!

We went through the same thing with my 1st daughter.

AFP came back 1:10 for downs syndrome. However, we opted not to do the amnio because I had multiple miscarriages prior.

I hope you all the best for you amnio results.

My son was born with heart defects. I pray your little one is perfectly healthy.

We received our first set of test results (FISH). Everything came back normal... and there is no reason to expect the full test results to indicate any chromosomal problems. We have to keep an eye on heart defects, but so far the ultrasound images of the baby look fine.
