Well...

I just got back from my second follow up appointment from my surgery and ectopic. Turns out my blood work froom last week was at......

11!!! Never thought I'd be excited to see my number so low!! LOL! So..he sent me off to the lab to do one more, to make sure it's at zero. (which after a week..it should be!!)

SOOOOOOOOO....................................

I HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY GIVEN PERMISSION TO CONTACT MY IVF DOCTOR...TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked him if he needed to do it, and he said no. He wanted me to contact them first, and he will follow up with them about the importance, and send them my file..etc etc etc! It was funny..he started by saying..well, when you are ready, just call the office and we will figure out what to do about the IVF...and I jumped off the table!! (which is hard, b/c I'm still a bit sore..LOL!!) He first wanted to know if we were ready or wanted to wait. I told him I'd love to get my bloodwork started, then we could at least figure out why we have had so many m/c's (since I've never had that done!).

He did say that if I wasn't ready to start yet, he wanted me on a BCP so that it ensured that nothing happened...b/c unless I'm under constant eye, he doesn't want me to BD for fear of another ectopic. Sooooooo...if DH and I dtd... ...we have to let him know we are, or use protection!! What to do...first he is afraid for me to try it that way..but if I want to he will let me...LOL!!!

But..I had to share..b/c..well you guys should get the good news too....but now I am home alone all weekend because DH had to take the 4-H teens on some weekend retreat..and I got great news..and no one here to share with!!! Sooooo..his birthday present is going to be my appointment card!! (Since his birthday is Sunday when he gets home!! Then maybe I'll give him a ... hehehe)

Sooooo..I'm going to dance around the house with my furbabies..and probably look like a weirdo to my neighbors..hahahhahahahah...

Hi! I'm new here and was wondering if anyone has gone to an endometriosis specialist for a laparoscopy. I am in KS and I guess there aren't any specialists here. Has anyone heard of Dr. Camran Nezhat in CA, Dr. David Adamson in CA, or Dr. Lyons in Georgia? I have had 2 laps and my pain comes back within a couple months. I've heard that excision surgery is best because they get all of the endo out. If anyone can give me any information on this I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

If you are wanting to find a good doc..there is Dr Cook in CA...I saw it on website...I called them and they were really nice...but my insurance was being weird about it...so I didn't get to go...but what she was saying was that he is one of the best in the nation...and makes a huge impact on endo...like 3-5 years of painfree..I'm like you...a couple of months later the pain comes back...I think he removes it w/a laser...see if you can find him by googling..I think I deleted my bookmark...

Thank you Kayleemom for the reply! I have conctacted Dr. Cook's office but he is out-of-network with my insurance : ( Dr. Adamson and Dr. Camran Nezhat both in CA and Dr. Lyons in GA are all on my insurance but I haven't heard much about them. I would really like to go to CA because my mother-in-law lives there and I could stay with her. I know it really sucks that it comes back right after you have surgery. Obviously they're not getting it all out. My husband and I would like to have a baby but we can't even have sex because it hurts me so bad and you can't get pregnant without having sex! lol

Welcome, hnconnell! I am not in CA, but I see Jen had some suggestions. I have heard that excision is the most effective, too, but I have not read a lot recently. You might want to try starting a new thread entirely, or posting to the Summer Chatty Thread, which is the newest. The ladies here are fantastic and willing to share whatever they can.

Thanks for the warm welcome Mommy Wannabe! I'm not in CA either. I am in KS but I don't think there are any specialists around here. I have relatives out there I could stay with though. That is the only reason I'm looking out there. I will try that. Thanks again!!!
