Default Re: Chatty thread 3/2-3/9

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Ohio??

We got slammed with snow! Yesterday it took poor DH over 3 hours to shovel the driveway and that was with me helping when K went down for her nap! We got over a foot and a half! INSANE!!! They even closed the malls yesterday! That NEVER happens!!

Janay - hope you had fun shopping! I'm hoping to get out some today - they've been working on the roads all morning - so hopefully early this afternoon - I have major cabin fever!!

Carrie - woohoo!! I know we don't cheer for AF too often here, but I'm excited for your new cycle to start! I think you can post links on here - I posted a link to SIRM for Janay - I woud love to see a video of that! I'm sure I'd ROTFLMAO!!!

Jen - how cool that you your DH got a day off and even better that he'll be off for 2 weeks to help out after your surgery!

Not much going on here. I think I may dive into my office here a little - it needs cleaned in a bad way!! - I made a big pot of homemade chicken noodle last night - we'll probably take that over to the ILs tonight when we drop off K. I feel so out of it with the time change though... maybe I'll just take a little nap?!?

Ohhhh.. and I've been meaning to ask a question... do any of you use tampons since finding out about your endo? I quit using them for a long time, thinking maybe it might make it worse - the whole retrograde theory - but AF is sooooooo fricking heavy anymore that I can't stand just wearing a pad - what are your thoughts?

Karen-I still use them but at night use pads So has AF arrived?

If you girls want to post links..it's fine except if it is promoting another board. That is not allowed.

Brie-Hey girl! How are you? Miss ya

Thanks to all the ladies that gave me there protocols for your IVF cycles. I am printing them and I am bringing it to my RE when I see him.

BBL off to take a walk w/ dh

Carrie - I use tampons because AF is too heavy not to.

Karen - I am sorry about the potholes, they are HORRIBLE in SLC right now. I blew one of my tires the other day and my brother did too. Stupid weather! I hope it gets better for us both soon.

Janay - I would love to put a ticker on here. I don't know how to do it here so please help me. So you all know I am due April 25th, so I am about 33 weeks now.

Brie - Is it still too hot for you there? I hate it when it is really hot too, but I also hate the cold. I want to live in a place where it snows only in December, and the rest of the year is never warmer than 80 nor colder than about 60. That would be perfect for me. I know I am dreaming.

Hello to everyone. I hope you are doing well.

I am moving some stuff to my basement today to get the nursery ready. I have filled the dresser/changing table with clothes, blankets, and burp cloths. I am getting somewhere right? I am not motivated to do anything so it has been difficult. I am excited about Audrey, but my back hurts so much and I have to pee every 30 minutes so it seems hard to get anything done. I should have done this like 2 months ago. So my advice to all of you soon to be expecting ( I mean all of you ladies) is get the nursey done before the 3rd trimester. Here is a picture of me from 2 weeks ago.

Jen-- It sounds like K had a great time. Great news about your dh... what is WTI, though? Sorry I am so confused.

Janay-- Not yet, we have to wait for the inhaler apparatus arrives, and get the prescriptions from the vet. I will have to give a full report of the insanity the first time we try it.
Nope... still no emails.

Karen-- Your snow was our rain. It poured and flooded around here. Hope you are out of the snow drifts soon!
Yeah, I've heard about the whole toxins thing, too, but I still use them. AF is so heavy for a couple of days that I couldn't live with just a pad.
Here is the link for the inhaler video: Feline Asthma with Fritz the Brave - Inhaled Photos & Videos (Scroll down and watch the "towel treatment," which is short, although it doesn't show the inhaler very closely.)

Krissy-- Sorry you were a tire victim, too. Cute pic. Hey, you should post one of the nursery now that you are getting it all full and done. (Oh, and Karen asked about the tampons, not me. )

I went and saw Rent yesterday. It was so freaking awesome! I cried my eyes out, but it was great. Have any of you seen it?
AF arrived full force today, so we should be off and running by Wednesday. I was surprised, considering the heavy spotting, that it took until today for full AF. That's good, though, since my ER should not interfere with DSS's visit for a couple of days at the beginning of spring break, plus I won't have to take off any days from work for this cycle.

Carrie-Yay for AF showing so you can get this cycle started I'm really confused on why you are not getting email notifications. I will look into it Off to watch the video.

Krissy-Thanks for posting a pic You look great!! You also look just like I pictured you To set up a ticker find a ticker you want from ticker factory the go to the top of these boards to my SK, then edit signature, the copy and paste the code from the ticker you want(I think it's the third one down) and paste in the white box. I hope that makes sense!! If not please let me know

I did end up shopping for new clothes and found a few really cute things yesterday I love Spring!! I hope Spring/Summer brings all of us
we all have been though so much!

Janay-- I know, poor little kitty. That will be me... except my cat is bigger and probably stronger and more stubborn. lol We are going to try so acclimation training with positive reinforcement (read: treats) before actually using it to see if it helps. I have to get him used to the sound of the puff, too, which sounds so much like a hiss that I think that will make it tough.
Thanks for cheering me on! I am set up for baseline u/s and b/w tomorrow morning, so if all is good, I start Follistim tomorrow night!
Maybe if I turn off email notification and then turn it back on? I will give it a try.

Okay, I turned off the daily notification and switched it to instant notification. We'll see if that changes anything.
