I know most of us havent been on here for a while, but I'm hoping that someone comes on here and reads this....I was wondering if I could possibly ask you ladies for a favor.... Two months ago my nine year old nephew was in a car accident that left him unable to walk. His health insurance wont cover the surgery because they're considering it an elective procedure, even though the surgery will be the only thing that allows him to walk again. I'm not sure of the specifics of whats wrong, but basically there is something compressing his spinal cord, and through surgery they would be able to fix it. Its apparently pretty expensive and his parents cant afford to pay for it right now. They have some money that they can put towards it, but with the way the economy has been lately they have lost a lot that they had invested. I just recently met my half sister (my nephews mom, my fathers daughter) almost a year ago, and have been trying to establish a good relationship with them. I feel like I have to help and raise the money because it wouldnt be fair of me to atleast try.
I know times are tough now for everybody, but if any of you could afford to donate even a few dollars we would all greatly appreciate it. For those of you who cant, i certainly understand, but I also ask that maybe you send the link to someone you know who might be able to.
