Rolling
So who's rolling? Who's not even close?
Just curious, lol.
Lillie's somewhere in between. She really only gets onto her side and rotates around in a circle (I forgot what her doctor called it). A couple of times she almost got over (back to tummy) and got stuck 3/4 of the way there.

Katie's not rolling. She's been getting her lower half (waist down) to the side, so i guess right now her shoulders are stopping her and she can't figure out how to do the rest...lol

Re: Rolling
Ali is rolling from her back to her tummy. And then she can't get back over so she screams. I can't put her down anymore because she does her new trick and gets mad. If she would just figure out her head is half her weight so just tip her head to the side and that would take her over!!!

Re: Rolling
Josiah is rolling, but he's older. He always rolls onto his tummy now and has almost figured out how to get his arms out in front to prop himself up. THen he scoots his legs up, well, he tries to
He doesnt roll when I put him to sleep though. He doesnt move much at all during the night, just lays flat on his back with his arms out to the side. He also doesnt roll from tummy to back, he did it once, but I think it was an accident.

Re: Rolling
Tierney is constantly rolling from tummy to back now. She sleeps on her tummy, wakes up and immediately rolls over onto her back. She hasnt figured out the other way yet.

Re: Rolling
Opposite of Josiah, Nathan rolls around in his sleep. I wish he was still tho, he probably wakes himself up from the constant tossing & turning. He mostly sleeps on his side and will eventually roll over to his tummy. He does it when awake too, he can do full rolls from tummy to back & back to tummy but only one roll at time and a lot of the time his arms still get caught preventing him to do successful rolls.

Re: Rolling
Maddie rolled once about 6 weeks ago. I think it was by accident b/c she hasnt done it since. She has done back or tummy to side, but not fully around. She really seems to have no interest in it just yet.

Re: Rolling
Mikeyla just now discovered how to get on her side... and it seems like she can work both sides equally. She went from her left... to her back... then decided to turn right.
But she is still unable to get roll herself fully from tummy to back. Its close though!

Re: Rolling
Natalia can roll back to front and likes to practice that. She's gone front to back a couple of times, but I still think those were flukes that surprised her that she was able to do it. She's quite mobile though, scooting around on her back all over the place.

Re: Rolling
I know what you mean about the mobile part. If we don't put "immobilizers" (i.e. socks) on Mikeyla, she'll scoot herself up and off her changing mat. She'll just keep on kickin til she makes her way across the room.

Re: Rolling
Irene has been rolling from back to front for about a month or so now. She rolls to her tummy for sleeping too. She loves to be on her tummy for playtime for a little while and then she gets frustrated that she's stuck there. She almost rolls back but hasn't quite figured out how to reverse the action and get back onto her back.

Re: Rolling
Liam rolled from tummy to back for the first time in front of the doctor yesterday. I had just finished telling her that he hadn't rolled over yet but was getting close.
Up till yesterday he's been getting to his side. He does scoot all over his crib and on the changer too. I didn't realize he scooted so much until last week. I put Liam in the dead center of my bed while he was asleep so I could take a shower. I was almost finished when my dog ran into the bathroom and started 'talking' to me. I could tell he was worried about something so I hurried up and told him to show me what was wrong..... Liam was at the edge of the bed! Jonas got a big bowl of yummy dinner and lots of cookies for warning mommy that baby was in danger! Needless to say I don't leave him on the bed anymore.

Re: Rolling
Sarah's been rolling from back to tummy for a while. She'll roll over, hang out for a while, then get mad because she's stuck on her tummy. She hasn't gone the other way yet. I think she must be working on something else now though because I haven't seen her roll in a week or so.
