What size are your little ones wearing?

Nathan wore size 18 all spring/summer. We just bought him a bunch of new clothes for fall/winter. Though he can still wear 18 months, we went ahead and bought everything in 2t. I dont understand how they come up with these sizes though. We bought about 40 pieces total (jumping beans brand) of sweatpants, pants, sweat shirts and regular shirts. The regular shirts fit him perfectly but the sweat shirts are huge on him. The pants are just long so he will be rolling them up for awhile. He has tons of other outfit sets (variety of brands) that are 2t and the majority of them are just too big yet. I wish they would make a size between 18 months and 2T. Now were just looking to buy a winter coat/pants. I havent been able to find any yet but it may be too early still.
