Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that our son made a VERY QUICK and early appearance into the world on June 19th at 7 am. I slept through all the contractions and woke at 3 with a backache and then my water broke at 5:10 am. Was taken to the hospital by ambulance with cx coming every 1 1/2 to 2 mins and lasting about 30-40 seconds. Arrived around 6. Got changed, examined 4 times and then it was time to push and Colby James arrived at 7 am weighing 7lbs 15oz. He came down so quickly that the cord got so tight. He actually did not have a heartbeat for about 2 mins and when he was born he did not breath and needed to be "worked on" for about 30-40 seconds. The Dr said the cord was the tightest she had seen in years-so tight that she had a very hard time getting the clamps in to cut the cord. He is doing great and looks like there are no lasting effects. Here is a pic
